How is the crown determined in the dungeon finder?

it is not by level for sure. i notice that it is almost always the healer. it is the tank that needs the crown, imo.

✭✭✭✭✭Based on what I’ve seen, it differs if it is a group drawn from premades or not.
If there is a premade, the crown from that premade stays crown of the whole group.
If there are two premades, then I believe it’s random which crown stays crown.
If all pugs, I believe it is again entirely random but would need to do some actual testing there. I don’t completely pug enough dungeons to be sure.0 -

✭I assumed it was random - ‘cause if I get Crown - I always quickly pass it to tank (regardless of level)...
...juuuuust before asking in Group Chat to holler for chests and heavy sacks - and whatever specific gear pieces I need. ‘Cause I always need SOMETHIN’!

Yes, also think its the one who decide on finding replacements and can invite other players.by the way what's the point of the crown anyway? only in case the group joins again another dungeon afterwards so the crown has to do it?
Outside of the dungeon finder crown is much more powerful and can invite and kick anybody.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
