Ideas for options for Event tickets (not just mounts) I'd like a Spare Room please!

There is a discussion in another thread about what should be available for events after Indriks are discontinued.

There were a lot of interesting suggestions, mostly mounts; but I want to give credit to the person who I first noted discussing/suggesting a housing type take on things:
I like the house idea! Each event instead of berries, you could collect different ' building materials' and make your house bigger. .

What about a spare room? An adjunct to any of your houses/apartments?

Say with an event ticket you could buy:
Door
Knob
Doorframe
Lintel

Those are the basic parts of the "Door to the Spare Room" and would equate to the "feathers"

Once you get them all, you can combine them into a "pocket room" which is roughly equivalent to the free houses (i.e. one squarish room with neutral walls, floor); the space would allow for similar item/furnishing limits.

-Considered "a service" so limits on how many you can access from any given house
-No traveling to other houses; you go "from your house into the spare room" and back, that's it.
-No placing a Spare Room inside another Spare Room.
-No placing a "service" inside a Spare Room.

But like an Indrik - you can "Evolve" - ahem let's call it "Renovate"

Like you can "upgrade" your Indrik with berried, you can "upgrade" your "pocket room" with...."Renovation [things]" maybe motif type things such that you would have a sort of overhaul of appearance similar to the basic motifs.

Paint/stain/whitewash
Flooring
Repair/renovation
Decor/Scheme

No I don't really like those four "names" for choices, they could probably be improved. But the point here is that right away you have potentially as many "Spare Room" motifs as you have racial or other motifs.

I.e "Argonian" renovation would include mud-like walls and ceilings, with maybe a small yellow round "window" in two walls; and a reed type floor appearance. "Murkmire" might have walls that look like stone with a mossy tinge.

There would be a LOT of possibilities here
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

While I don't have any interest in expanding my homes, I can appreciate the appeal to many.

My focus for event tickets is more driven by the fact that my character is loyal to her precious mare and has no real use for indriks. And she doesn't group often enough to have use for the group repair kits that serve as fillers for extra tickets. She likes being able to spend event tickets on outfit styles and, for some events there have been furnishings she can buy - like the three mirrors she bought during a recent event. I do like the idea of a variety of things to spend event tickets on though beyond mounts.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Same here...and I share your preference for remaining with "that character's mount". In my personal head-cannon the only reason one of my characters occasionally rides an Indrik (in this case the blue/wintery one) is because that's what happened when she fed her "Big Brown Horse" a mixture of blueberries and moon sugar (there may have been magick involved).

I ... kind of like the idea of being able to "build" or "earn" things in game.

I intensely dislike and resent the whole "well these [berries] are gone forever", and I do like the idea of making more use out of things in game.

For instance....crafted "blank" books that could have treasures/writings "copied" into them and become furnishings.

How many people would love this as a furnishing:

"Lusty Argonian Maid" Art Folio A well-worn book of stimulating images illustrating the popular tale of "The Lusty Argonian Maid."

So part of my explorations/ideas for the tickets are based on:

-What would be fun to build
-What in-game thing could be made cooler/expanded on (there is a TON of as-yet unrealized potential)

Now I think that the whole "glass style page" thing where you had to pay more to "combine" fragments than you could ever get for the motif pages turned out poorly.

But what if, in order to use/upgrade the "Spare Room" idea above, you had to include a motif book (or page, for the ones that come in pages); so that making each "Argonian" upgrade also would use an "Argonian" style book (the blue ones).

Closest I think you will get to that is a house they could offer up on the event vendor, that you would have to spend event tickets on to unlock all the rooms similar concept to the free house that was part of the quest line in Northern Elsweyr where you needed to get the tablets to unlock all the area's.

That said I don't think they will discontinue the Indriks, I think they will just leave them available or the late arrivals who have not completed their set will complain.

They will likely add whatever new reward they add alongside them on the vendor at least for awhile.

I was thinking that essentially a "house" per holiday type event would be too much. I can see the logic of doing the DLC quest/unlock, but I'm trying to think in terms that would be accessible to the maximum number of players.

Still hoping to get the Onyx berries...but not thinking it will really happen.

I agree, more options at the vendors seems to be the trend and I like it. I know quite a few folks who buy up the style pages as soon as they can, and others who were really enthused about the furniture options at the previous event.

I haven't heard anyone talk about actually using the "group repair kits" but they brought it back, so hopefully they are being used.

So mostly I"m looking for ideas to expand things; I like mounts, but I also really like picking a mount and sticking with it for a particular character; it's part of my personalization of them.
