All of us have our moments of fun standing around waiting for a dolmen, world boss, or Harrowstorm to "pop". Well, I came across a waiting group of a few mounted players who were forming a line for fun. It was the evening (for me) of Sept. 25th. The line grew. And grew. And GREW! Kind of like watching yourself turn from your normal self into a giant werewolf only sillier. Then we started playing with this growing line. For some reason, the storm didn't start. People thought maybe it was borked and wasn't going to start. It was a long wait which allowed us to get sillier. We ran around in circles on our mounts and then formed a large Circle. Then we horked, and neighed, and whinnied, and growled, and snorted, and cheered for awhile longer. Then we closed the circle a bit. Those poor travelers must have been shocked and confused but did their best to remain calm and discuss normal campfire conversations. Finally, the storm popped. Those monsters and ghosts and witches never saw it coming. They melted IMMEDIATELY! Several people commented that they'd never seen a storm go down so fast. It was such a blast. It was one of those special moments that we all knew we had to remember. Perhaps some of you will read this and know what I mean because you were there. This sort of random hilarity and community is part of what makes the game so fun and special. I shut off my UI and took some shots. Hard to capture it as it was so big but I did my best while laughing and getting my lovely glowing wolf to howl. Hope we have many more of these sorts of surprise community moments. It makes me laugh which I think we all need right now.
