HarrowStorm Hilarity

TricksterToons
All of us have our moments of fun standing around waiting for a dolmen, world boss, or Harrowstorm to "pop". Well, I came across a waiting group of a few mounted players who were forming a line for fun. It was the evening (for me) of Sept. 25th. The line grew. And grew. And GREW! Kind of like watching yourself turn from your normal self into a giant werewolf only sillier. Then we started playing with this growing line. For some reason, the storm didn't start. People thought maybe it was borked and wasn't going to start. It was a long wait which allowed us to get sillier. We ran around in circles on our mounts and then formed a large Circle. Then we horked, and neighed, and whinnied, and growled, and snorted, and cheered for awhile longer. Then we closed the circle a bit. Those poor travelers must have been shocked and confused but did their best to remain calm and discuss normal campfire conversations. Finally, the storm popped. Those monsters and ghosts and witches never saw it coming. They melted IMMEDIATELY! Several people commented that they'd never seen a storm go down so fast. It was such a blast. It was one of those special moments that we all knew we had to remember. Perhaps some of you will read this and know what I mean because you were there. This sort of random hilarity and community is part of what makes the game so fun and special. I shut off my UI and took some shots. Hard to capture it as it was so big but I did my best while laughing and getting my lovely glowing wolf to howl. Hope we have many more of these sorts of surprise community moments. It makes me laugh which I think we all need right now.

This is the beautiful part of MMORPG's IMHO. People just hanging around and having fun, not letting a wait upset their natural happy fun balance. It is one of the reasons I most love this game. For the most part, the people I meet in-game are really awesome, which shows off ESO's wonderful group of gamers.

No, it was just as usual - you all wait there and no one goes to Miners to finish active harrowstorm :D

    btw nice screenshot :)

The screenshot is great, but this is NOT awesome! Harrowstorms need to be fixed. We have to wait WAY too long for one to spawn. And when one does spawn and there are not enough people near, they become impossible as massive mobs keep spawning. Eventually overwhelming the players. And if enough players are there, the harrowstorm is done in a few seconds.

Harrowstorms are broken in every way possible!

Make harrowstorms spawn 3 or 4 at once(over all possible locations), and put a spawnlimit of 1 on the extra spawning big mobs and a spawnlimit of 4-5 on the small mobs(not counting the healing ones going for the spires). This way they spawn faster, and can be done faster by fewer players, keeps them rotating.

This is perhaps Nightstone, right? HS in the Reach often take a while because the spawns are random, and since the zone is broken into 4 parts, you can't see the clouds from a wayshrine away like above in Skyrim. On Saturday I slotted the Kick Ball momento and had my uncoordinated Orc fall on his butt for most of 40 minutes waiting for it to pop.

Oh was this the #rainbowstorm? That was fun to watch, I didn't get time to join in before the Harrowstorm arrived, but it was great to see. And yeah, I've never seen a Harrowstorm go down so fast - quickest daily ever - thanks :D

This kind of happening is one of my very fave things about mmos. Sponanteous silliness/unity generated by the players themselves.

Beautiful brilliant screenshot and a treasure. Nicely captured! :)
