With ZOS looking to overhaul certain core systems like the Major Minor buffs, there are some other things that could be fixed which would help consolidate server data as well as improve player experience.
What I'm proposing is changing all CC to be under a Major Minor system.
Major CC
- Roots you
- Must be broken out of to end effect
Minor CC
- Slows you
- Must be roll dodged to end effect
You can have both Major and Minor at the same time, but cannot have multiple stacks of either. Additionally, after each you gain either Major or Minor CC immunity which lasts several seconds.
Lastly, any ability or potion that grants CC immunity would grant it for both.
This change would clean up the current system where you lag from getting hit by a DK ult into a 40% snare from some bow wielder that sprayed everyone and then you got knocked back by a spear and then you have to walk slowly through some aoe on the ground. No more muddiness in cc abilities. No more knockbacks. No more CC lag. Just consolidate and fix it all.
