Reading these threads always makes me wonder why people keep playing a game they hate and find boring. It makes no sense to me.

I don't. I just like keeping up to date with the game in case they ever undo the changes that made the game unfun. Haven't seen signs of life yet. Putting a cast time on incap was the nail in the coffin for me. I login every now and again but I immediately get bored/frustrated with the combat then logout. Plus I find the forums entertaining.

I loved the game and still like it very much, just see a big drop in quality and it worries me. You can clearly see that ESO is going in different direction now and even if I wanted it to be great, I see more problems then ever with it. My many friends who loved ESO stop playing or considering this because of that.
Forums are toxic right now but ZoS silence policy, performance problems, stupid changes, etc are the big reasons why players are more harsh today

I'm expecting a terrible story, skills still don't work nicely, no performance improvement, no QOL of note ie Surveys, Armories, etc.

    I'm hoping to be wrong.

for example the money you already invested.
In my case 700 euro + 3 years sub, so it seems I have hit the 1000 euro mark.
    Unbelievable...

You don't kick that from one day to the next.

    Instead, you start to plan.
Invest 1k again within the next 3 years, or better buy a PC from this money so you can switch to a PC game?
I have watched some pre-release videos today, and one looks very very tempting. But it gives me enough time to plan if I invest to a PC or not, as the release was postponed to next year.

Glad I was wrong :) Seems we got an armory! :D:D.

Pity the story sounds like more of the same though. Character introduction went like this

    Witch woman - Strong powerful
    Mysterious woman - Strong powerful
King - You want to hit him

Mystery story about Rada and V, my guess, they were former lovers or something, sounds about where ZOS's head is at these days.

    No Rapids change, so...yeah.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

Dear ZoS! I have to say that you have outdone yourselves. There was not enough to spoiler the culmination moment of the Year of the Dragon in the last year, now you've spoiled the Darkstorm Markarth prologue just in the next day after it's release! It's awful thing you've done to players who didn't complete this prologue in the first hours.
Doesn't you had something else to talk about in your presentation of the new DLC? What a terrible things are happening with the story in this year... First you put the important information in dungeons, then you stretch out the story in Chapter like there was no any dungeon and first prologue plot and just repeat the same information in the more boring way, and now this presentation which made the second prologue is pointless.
Please, remember why so many players love your game, why there's so much fans of TES universe! We're not a kids who need a soft story in Disney style and who doesn't suspect the outcome of a predictable plot. Don't forget about Lore of this universe and Lore you've added in DLCs (because you forget it in Greymoor). Your auditory is here, not in some kind of twitter which is a synonymous for toxic people who like to blame everyone for phobias (you know which one) and other "modern" things. Please, don't kill the wonderful world of The Elder Scrolls...

I have some theories why he will be there. The first one he's a redguard — I think ZoS are try to avoid of some rage because of redguard-antagonist, so they added another one redguard in the "team of good guys". Second — because of Lyris, maybe they'll planned to complete their little love story. And the third — for the Shehai fight; as ZoS write in one conservation with npc in Alik'r our antagonist was a legendary warrior in the past, and also Sai is a possible sword-singer, so they could pitted those dudes against each other.

That's enough of a reason, I think. Very logical too.
