1) Performance improvement plan = failed
2) AoE cooldowns = failed
3) Everything else = failed
But for some strange reason, during the MYM Cyro worked fine although it was 24/7 full player capacity.
I wonder why....
smaller groups. People actually spread out. Less people actually using AOEs because they're doing quests.
The clear fix is to limit group size in Cyrodiil to 6-12 people and make it so AOEs only affect group members, as well as no longer stacking effects. (obviously damage AOEs are different)

No they just temporary increase server capacity, they won't do it for whole year as they probably don't want to spend more money on this game. They prefer minimal investments

That wasn't my experience during the MYM. The battles were massive, tons of AOE, lots of Siege, and death everywhere!!!

My guess is that during MYM you got lots of casuals in on the popular servers filling them up so fewer huge fights as the casuals spread out more, doing PvE dailies and PvDoor.gatekeeper13 wrote: »ZOS does not care to fix Cyro server or they simply can't.

One major change was moving all the calculations to the server as doing it on the client caused lots of cheating like players spamming ultimate.I think the problem is a fundamental one. ZOS went a long time trying to make the whiners and complainers happy. When the game was released, it was promised to have hundreds of players in pvp at the same time without the problems. The game was released before everything was up to snuff. However, we all seemed to have a great time in pvp and indeed, we had some intense fights and hardcore players everywhere. When I say hardcore, entire guilds that would play 18 hours or even in some cases 24 hours a day.
But things changed. The gankers and solo players felt they were overlooked and really complained loudly. Things started to change when the original developers were fired or otherwise left for other games. We are so far away from the original plan for cyro with multiple changes and patches, I don't think the game can be fixed. Trying to cater to one segment of the population has resulted in a moving target that was impossible to hit. Rather than staying true to the "mission" of the game and it's design, things were changed bit by bit until the "large group" of 24 people raids is about to be eliminated. That just tells me that they can't do it. Either the knowledge isn't there, or the technology cannot support it. Either way, the population is dwindling as the lag and problems increase.
And that makes me sad.
