Should there be animations to interact with other characters and/or animals?

This come up in conversation with a friend they had an idea of being able to properly dance with other players to pet dogs in the game and other interactions with people and friendly animals.

You've never seen players showing how the "push-ups" can be used for simulated sex encounters? Now, add more options like dancing to that, and "petting" might bring whole new meanings to the world.0 -

Count me in. I'd really like the ability to feed an animal - mount, sheep, dog, whatever. And if catnip ever appears in this game, I would buy it by the ton. There's a certain cat...*cough* Ja'khajiit Raz *cough* who needs it.1 -

An interesting idea!
We have similar stuff already: the beggar who needs 69 gold, the two clowns who can't light a campfire (when you help them, you get a small buff and some XP), and the merchant you can rob. Adding a pet you can feed...or pet doesn't seem to unreasonable. Something about immersion too, I think.1 -

This is a good point.
There is also the issue of getting two characters, or a character and NPC lined up correctly for the "emote" The characters or character and NPC would need to be lined up in just the right manner, which means one has to be moved. Designing it so that movement is not required would be even more complex of a programming trick.
Even with the most straightforward design, it would likely be more work than the benefit it would bring to the game.0 -

I just wish we could give gold to any of the beggars who ask to spare a few coin. The dialog pops up, but we don't have the option to give gold. Maybe one day.
Or how about just a third person emote showing our characters reaching in their pockets and handing a begger a coin. I'd be happy with just that.~There’s a positive in every negative. Sometimes the positive is harder to find than other times, but there is ALWAYS one there~1
