Anyone like to share tips on In game trading for a passive income

So do you guys have any tips on how to make a passive and stable income, with minimum effort required via guild traders?

The obvious thing is making a passive income with little effort while we are busy doing our goals. No farming, no having to buy small amounts of mats from zone chats. Obviously surveys do the job of farming if we have X amount of alts doing writs on different level mats running out of mats is never a problem.

For me, at real low level I made OK money buy buying low cost maps and selling what I got from them, it was a slow income except when the cyrodiil alliance motif dropped as I would collect loads of maps in my mail and B-line it to the spots at night. This was a decent income at that level but it did require farming map chests which was time consuming. At that level I was questing hard so I was making enough money finding loot and farming while questing. Doing my "map grinds" made me more money but took a chunk out of my ability to clear questing content.

At a decent level I found my niche, with a stack of mats from all the previous farming whilst questing, specifically runes, I managed to make a very successful glyph trade selling specifically epic and legendary weapon/spell power glyphs. I tested selling all different raw mats in bulk or small amounts and found my glyph business to be the most successful and consistent.
I would log in each day and sometimes all glyphs would be gone from 3 trading guilds. I would log in multiple times daily to top up the space in the store for the already sold glyphs that day.
They were going so fast and this lasted for months, I don't know how anyone could be using so many new weapons that they need those glyphs, Who was buying this crap!
I made so much from that that I haven't ever needed to worry about money ever since.
Unfortunately this came to an end when a notorious IRL gold seller who destroyed the games economy (PS4 EU) by having a monopoly on the main traders and undercutting everyone into oblivion on near anything because he can. This made the time and effort selling glyphs useless. I went from a 3k+ net return per glyph to like 500 return or less. I lost a lot of money in overstocking mats before the undercutting began.

This was a long time ago now. Briefly looking at these type of passive trading, it looks as if raw mats and glyphs are lower than ever that there seems to be little return. I have thought about trying my hand at potions to test the trade out.

So does anyone have any tips or experience they would like to share?

Passive income with minimum effort ... ?

I don’t think that exists in ESO.

Usually selling items from the content you enjoy the most is the best way to get started in any trading guild.

One of the biggest sellers is raw materials (e.g. raw ancestor silk). Not a minimum effort to farm ... but certainly pays dividends even at 20 minutes a day.

People decon Glyphs to level enchanting. That is who is buying them.

No, someone did not "corner the market". What happened is people found out that you can level an Alt by Deconning Glyphs made on another character, and get the same Inspiration. So, now they buy a stack of Denata's and Rekuta's, level one Alt by making the glyphs, then level the other by deconning the glyphs.

Thing is, you can still make money from the Glyphs if you farm the Essences and use the Potencies you get from Decon. Then all you have to do is buy the Rekuta's.

Now, most of the ways to make gold end up at about the same gold rate per hour (farming, crafting writs, making decon fodder, etc). So, really, you have to pick your favorite grind activity.

Crafting Writs on CP160 characters, even at Tier 1 can net you 4600 to 5200 gold from the Writs themselves, each day, and pay for themselves in Materials. You can make even more coin if you sell the Gold Tempers, although you need to do Top Tier Writs for the best production of Gold Tempers.

The other good way is to harvest flowers that are in demand, as they sell for 300 to 500 Gold, each. Find a quiet zone, and run a route that repeats.

Me, I sell Intricate loot I harvest as I play the game, and do Crafting Writs on some of my characters.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

It does, as mentioned above about glyph selling, all i had to do was buy bulk runes which was easy after finding farmers, then create glyphs and dump in trader, no more effort required.

No way, of course people who know this would just buy raw runes and do it themselves. I was selling these glyphs at 7k a pop iirc. That is too much money to be used on decon.

Of course I do daily writs on alts, I make a passive income enough for what I need by just playing, looting everything, selling loot, but it's nice to have a "scheme" that brings in cash while out and about playing the game.

I just PvP and list all the sets and motifs I get from playing. It's around 100k a week..easy enough.

If you want millions much better ways.

Also, spend less. Craft all you need and o Lt buy stuff you can't be bothered to farm

I just do what I like, vet dungeons and trials mostly. And then sell the motifs.
Just play the game and you will have passive income.

There is no passive income mechanic in ESO.

You can receive hireling mats if you level up crafting but unless you have like 10+ chars maxed the return is so miniscule it cannot be classed as any sort of 'income'.

And you'll probably have to buy much more than you sell to use on your chars/new builds !

There is no passive income in ESO. You always have to do something its just a varying amount of time, preperation and knowledge.

Hirelings are about the best true passive income you can get, just log in, collect mats, then list them when you have whatever quantity you want to sell. Takes a bit to get the skills leveled but othwerise it’s about as passive as you can get.

Then you probably got synced with a shift in the meta, where people spend hundreds of thousands or millions chasing a couple of percent of DPS.

No, it's a player made economy and this is how the game was at the time. this person having a monopoly didn't help and now the mats are at an all time low
