Rivenspire Quest Bug - Dream-Walk Into Darkness

Hello all, I've recently encountered a problem in Rivenspire where I completed the quest Shornhelm Divided and was supposed to receive the quest Dream-Walk Into Darkness immediately after but didn't receive it so I went on playing as normal figuring I would get it later down the line. To try and fix it I have
- Disabled / completely removed all my addons
- Done /camp in front of High King Emeric, waited 15 minutes and relogged
- /reloadui
- Went to the zone guide and clicked continue zone story
- Repaired the game client from the launcher
Also reported it in the /bug but decided to come here to see if anyone had any ideas I might have glossed over at all. I'm not sure if its required to complete all the zone stories for the Hero of the Daggerfall Covenant achievement or not either.

Dropping the quest and re taking almost always work, you might broke it somehow.
I kind of broke the TG quest where you was to help an Argonian rescue an noblewoman he captured got caught by pirates in an delve, I exited the door by mistake.
Here running past an kind of load door and return worked, else I would drop it and redo.

I had the same problem with Lakrata Hills part of the zone story, but I just walked where it was starting manually and questgiver was waiting for me like nothing has happened.
There's a Q4 prologue quest parts that were added to Riven, and some related NPCs seem to be acting funny because of it.

I never even got the quest in my journal, so I can't abandon it either. Talking to Emeric just shows some basic dialogue with "Goodbye" being the only option to choose

I looked online for the spot it would take me after accepting the quest and seemed like it was going to progress but then the npc's just stood around and stared at me

You know it's funny, I just encountered that issue as well. I never got the mission to go to Crestshade. I was just going to go there anyway and see what happens.

The UESP Daggerfall Covenant page has a handy flow-chart of how all the quests connect; which are required for Cadwell’s, etc.

I haven’t checked - but maybe your missing quest is one of the little “connector” quests - that just lead you to the next major zone quest? Because those are easy to miss, and are not necessary for advancing the story...

Hmmm, not sure cause I went around and did all the side quests that I could in Rivenspire so it shouldn't be that I'm missing anything there. Might just have to wait for a patch at this point

Yeap same thing happened to me. I still wait in front of King Emeric and logging each day but still no quest

i already opened a ticket but got a generic answer. I'll wait until the 18th and then I am cancelling my sub. Did you open a ticket about the issue?

I did, probably got the same response as you. At least there's plenty of other content to do I suppose. I however can't get Hero of the Daggerfall Covenant achievement so that's a shame

I was having this same issue and i found what was causing it, if you try to continue this quest while having too many other active quests the High King Emeric won't talk to you, just abort every single active quest you have, this will fix your problem like magic!

Specifically, if you have the Prologue Quest "The Ravenwatch Inquiry" I think it's called, drop that one and you can move forward. That's the only one I had to drop.

I also can confirm that dropping the 'Ravenwatch Inquiry' prologue quest allows the storyline to continue.

Interresting. Espesially when remember they Elsweyr prologue blocks main quest line. The bug that hasn't been fixed in more then a year. And now this.
All we need to know about bugs in that game...

Had the same problem last week, but after this weeks maintenance downtime the quest was offered correctly

Just wanted to thank all the people that posted this!

Had this problem yesterday. Of course it happens when my best friend finally agrees to give ESO another try. I wanted to make the experience as enjoyable as possible so let him choose which zone story quest sounded most interesting and we would play that entire arc. He chose Rivenspire. So after less then an hour of play, I can't continue the quest=( Not exactly the good impression I was hoping for=(

He logged off and hopefully will return later in the week.

Thanks to all of you I found this thread and dropping the Ravenwatch Inquiry worked to allow me to pick up the next quest!!
