PvE versions of Imperial City and Cyrodiil?

Would be nice to get these, sometimes I just wanna do the content without having to worry about other players and their invincible one-shot builds. Keep the capture/keep stuff for the PvP version but let us do the quests and whatnot solo.
Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.

    And here we go again...

Just go in there at a less populated campaign when there is no campaign, or start with duelling players in PvE zones. You will either avoid other players or you will start to learn to PvP.

This is unlikely to happen for various reasons, but already it is possible to do the PvE content in PvP areas relatively undisturbed.

Go to an empty campaign in off-peak time, stay away from the PvP objectives, and you would be very unlucky to encounter any enemy players.
Of course don't attempt that when there's a PvP event ongoing (like, right now) since that is totally counterproductive.

Imperial City can be more tricky, because it's a much smaller zone and there are only 2 instances of it (CP and noCP).
But it is still perfectly doable. When I was doing the IC questline while levelling my characters to 50, on average I only encountered a few enemy players while doing the whole questline on each character.

I agree with the advice to go into less populated campaigns. If you can it also helps to go at quieter times of the day.

I've got all the skyshards in Cyrodiil, completed all the delves and I've done most of the non-repeatable quests and rarely encountered other players. You do have to have some flexibility, for example if a town or keep near where you're going is under attack it's probably best to find something else to do until it's safe because those are the locations where you're likely to meet enemy players. But away from active objectives the map is usually very empty.

Even when you do encounter other players in delves or quest hubs there's a good chance they're also PvE players and won't attack if you don't. I've even done dolmens with 'enemy' players, which was interesting because we had to be really careful about aiming attacks and staying out of each other's AOE's.

And if you do get killed it's no big deal, just respawn and go back, or go somewhere else. It's mildly annoying if it happens right on top of your goal but still not really a problem.

Sometimes I end up feeling sympathetic towards them - having to run all the way back to get a skyshard or whatever is annoying but imagine desperately wanting to play PvP but being so bad at it that you have to resort to spending hours in normally dead locations hoping to pick off people who literally won't fight back at all because it's the only way you'll ever manage to kill anything. I feel like I'm doing them a favour, especially when it takes so long for them to kill what may as well be a target dummy (literally standing still waiting for it to be over) that I start thinking they must be little kids playing on their parent's account and picking skills based on the pretty pictures. It's quite cute when you think about it.

First of all, this horse is very dead.
Second, I guess, ZOS has their hands full with stuff that needs to be fixed and new content. It's unlikely they will spend resources on reworking old things.

So, yes, empty campaigns. In Cyro you can go full cirlce and maybe get ganked once at the gates and meet a couple of people who would be completely disinterested in you. IC has more of player hunting, but after events it's mostly dead too.

Sure, np with extra Servers for PvE players who wants PvP rewards without PvP... They Sure will cut their Bonuses to get it coming...

From my economic point of view: Nothing against it, but spare the TelVar and KeyShards, these are also Bonuses for PvP....

Why wel first of both zones are actually super boring from a pure pve perspective.... I am a pvp player but I also do a lot of pve stuff and trust me they are super boring.... Secondly they were designed for pvp.... This ties in with the first one... They way the zones where designed was to give players chokepoints to fight over.... Those chokepoints will be super annoying for pure pve... Cyrodil suffers mostly from this..... Although ic also suffers from this having you go a long take a way longer routr because of it..... And Lastly all rewards except for xp should be turned off otherwise it will ruin the pvp players income and rewards( we do not have a lot to begin with) meaning for example.... No telvar and no ap gains.... Achievements such as emperor will still be locked behind pvp otherwise it becomes more pointless than it already is.... And the empty keeps in cyrodil for example becomes worth nothing so they might as well not exist leaving the zone extremly empty...... And if you take away all the rewards it becomes more than pointless to quest there.... As others has suggested just go to a less populated server

I do think we will get a chapter of the current map that will include IC and the centre island. Some type of time break will happen to cover it so both the pvp and the pve can exist at the same time.

Tharn did say he wanted to end the alliance war....and went bye bye I’m with some serious dragon mojo.....we will see.

It would be ace as it would make everyone happy, pvp’ers still get the map and questers get they full fill of Cyrodiil. Everyone wins.

As ZOS, like, 99,9% won't do it, we can put this stuff aside and just discuss if we want it and how we want it to be, I guess :)

If people want to run around empty and uncomfortable Cyrodiil/IC with no rewards, just for quests, I'd say let them, no?

The reasons are, amongst other, that the zone would be even less populated.. it would also be a giant middle finger to the PvP population, since they only have a very few areas to play in.. If we copy their zone, to our benefit, it would really not be fair
I'm missing something here. What's the point of PVP zone being populated by people who don't event want to PVP? If anything would be lost, it's regular complaints that someone got killed while questing.

P.S. I'm speaking from the "what colour do you want your unicorn to be" point of view. We are not getting any unicorns, but why not to discuss?

If it was there I'd use it, I just don't think it's necessary. As I said above I haven't had any real trouble completing PvE goals in the PvP maps because they're usually dead anyway aside from the occasional hot spot when something actually gets attacked, and those are easy to avoid because they're clearly marked.

So it just seems like a waste of time and effort for ZOS to make it, which could be better spent on something else.

If they wanted to create a second version of Cyrodiil to be a real PvE map, with the current delves, dolmens etc. but with additional quests and a full storyline that might be worth doing, but I assume that would then have to be a full story DLC rather than simply an update to what's already there. But as long as they insist on pretending all the events of the game can be crammed into one year and happen simultaneously that's highly unlikely to happen.

Sure. As long as you get none of the rewards already in those zones. Let the experience be its own reward.

See, the rewards like AP, leads, motifs, resources, fish, achievements, event tickets, skyshards, Tel var, etc? All those were designed to be gained with the risk of PVP. ZOS intentionally put those in PVP-enabled zones.

You eliminate the risk? The rewards should be eliminated as well.

    Do we have a deal?
Or is this a plea for rewards with no risk?

I don't get that kind of argument.
I mean, I understand the reasoning behind it, but it just doesn't hold up to actual practice, at least as far as it applies to Cyrodiil (less so to IC).

In Cyrodiil, it's quite rare to encounter any enemy players at the "pure PvE" objectives like delves, skyshards or dolmens.
Even in primetime there's a decent chance that you won't encounter anyone at such locations. If you go there in a low population campaign, the factor of "risk of PvP" was already vanishingly low to begin with.

Off the top of my head, the only PvE activity in Cyrodiil that carries any significant "risk of PvP" is... fishing - because you are literally standing out in the open, and some types of fishing nodes are located very close to major travel routes and PvP objectives. (is "stealth fishing" still a thing?)

And depending on how you define "engaging in PvP", it is entirely possible to complete all of the PvE content in both PvP zones without ever actually engaging in any PvP - if you define it as "fighting (back) against the enemy players".
After all, the only real consequence of dying to enemy players is the inconvenience of dealing with the horse simulator.
Not saying that this is the optimal way of doing things - far from it - just that it's a distinct possibility.

Also if zos where to make a pve cyro and or ic I think ot would be high time for at least ic and cyro(pvp versions) to also get some major updates and new rewards(pvp rewards) added or ateast a new pvp dlc.... Otherwise pvp players wil seriously feel like the got thebbig fat middle finger.... The problem with that is that a lot of pve players will sadly complain.... Brcause they got 2 big empty nothingness zones with rewards disabled meanwhile pvp actually got an update for once.... Have you seen people complain when a motif is locked behind pvp..... So sadly pvp will never get an update thus it will feel unfair to give pve versions of cyro and ic..... Otherwise if pvp can get a major and worthwhile update then go for it as long as pure pvp rewards like telvar and ap for example is stays locked behind pvp...

Would love a PvE version of Cyrodiil, as it is just like any other zone in the game. Not for the IC though, as this zone was specifically made for PvPvE.

So far I've stayed out of Cyrodiil, even though I want to one day get the skyshards in there.

PS: When this idea was posted in the past, PvPers seemed to be mostly against it for some reason.

The difference is that players with not so good computers can opt-in on PvP performance heavy zones. While if PvP was in every zone, players wouldn't be able to avoid it. Even if they do not participate, it would impact their performance. Not to mention, Cyrodiil delay/lag would spread to the entire game. Easy way to get ESO to shut down, I guess.

The only reason I see for PvPers to be against a PvE Cyrodiil, is no more easy PvE player kills for PvPers.

I don't mind Cyrodil as a PVE person who sometimes joins in the PVP. I get killed as I quest and fish, but not often. I kind of enjoy the challenge of completing all the PVE objectives, though I admit sometimed it can be frustrating.

IC is a whole nother thing though. Granted I only went once, during the event, but it was dark, ugly and absolute hell. EVERYONE kills you, over and over and over and over. They go out of their way to do it. Once my PVE stuff is done I will NEVER go back.

PvP versions of other PvE areas in game would be awesome also.

Not every PvPer will see half of these dungeons/Trials.

Edit - would be fun if they can add a PvP aspect to a trial in an open era ala old school MMOs where certain guilds try to lock down content.

    __________________________Backstories:_________________________

Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

Would be nice to get these, sometimes I just wanna do the content without having to worry about other players and their invincible one-shot builds. Keep the capture/keep stuff for the PvP version but let us do the quests and whatnot solo.

And I want open world PvP in all areas ... make questing and adventuring actually dangerous and the alliance war mean something outside of Cyrodill instead of just wistfully running past the enemy and looking like we are one big happy family ... which the quests clearly show we are not.

It won’t happen, and it’s a shame because the IC storyline is pretty good. (With an amazing ending.) I wish more people could experience it.

I was just about to say the same thing, I miss the good old days of pre-1T when we didn't have to see the enemy in main zones ;);)

i want a Cyrodiil as was in Oblvion where it is a whole new zone.
if they want a new chapter make it Cyrodiil PVE zone.
the most iconic region in all of Elder Scrolls lore lays unused.
    Give the imperials a story.

Have Cyrodill as seen on world map as part of PVE and if you want to PVP you use the campaign menu
