Daggerfall east gate forced dismount

Riding through Daggerfall's east gate always ends up with the character being forcibly dismounted just outside the city limits. It showed up with Stonethorn (although it may be a very old bug that's resurfaced).

PC, both servers, both directions.
PC NA, PC EU

    West gate too. And under the bridge to the bank as well. And before I forget there is still a forced dismount location on the road west from Haven, Grahtwood. Been there since 2014...

    Yes, I just noticed the forced dismount at the Daggerfall SE gate yesterday. Not sure it has a west gate though.

    Ah, was thinking of Wayrest. Which has forced dismounts at all three citygates. And under all the bridges in the whole of Stormhaven too.

    Bump.

    It's an inconsistent change (if it isn't a bug) since it doesn't apply to all cities or all bridges in all zones. I took a small sample - data is below.

    To summarize, we get forced dismount in Daggerfall and Wayrest at most gates but none in Evermore, Hallin's Stand, Sentinel, Ebonheart, Davon's Watch, Riften, Alinor, and Windhelm...to name a few. Traveling under east bridges in Wayrest forces dismount yet traveling under city bridges in Daggerfall does not.

    Please, ZOS, consider fixing this. It's annoying and a pointless change (if not a bug) since the vast majority of people that I counted just remount after passing through the gate!

    Has anyone found any instance outside Daggerfall, Wayrest, and selected areas (noted above) where forced dismounts occur? I can't find one in EP or AD zones. Which is curious to me...

    There is a location on the road west from Haven, Grahtwood that has forced dismount. It's been like that for six years now. At least for all my accounts.

    The one that baffles me the most is in Murkmire. There is a cave tunnel leading to the gate of Root Whisper Village. You can actually use your mount there. But at the other side of the gate, inside the village, there is a small overhang which does give a forced dismount. 🤔

    First, thank you for the tip. I found the spot - which is on the road just south of the Gray Mire wayshrine. I've updated my post to include it.
