So my stamina psijic necromancer is bopping around Skyrim when I see on zone chat that someone wants a group to take on Skreg. So I join the group, and teleport to the player... and get utterly confused when I see a wayshrine. So I start running to the actual fight, see on chat, that it's about to start, and try to teleport to the leader of the group...
... and wind back up at the wayshrine.
"I must be doing something wrong," I think to myself, as if somehow I was clicking on the option with JUST THE WRONG AMOUNT OF PRESSURE on my mouse button, and try to teleport to player AGAIN. And AGAIN. AND AGAIN...
Wayshrine, wayshrine, wayshrine!
Because that's how it works, obviously. When you choose teleport to player you don't actually teleport to the player, you teleport to the nearest wayshrine to the player. But I didn't know that. I have been playing this freaking game since it was first released but I never had to use that feature until THIS EVENING.
Needless, to say, I missed the fight. It also cost about 2K gold to teleport anywhere after that, so I had to jog back to the wayshrine in shame.
