Will i get banned for killing werewolvs?

prohunter654
Ok so I like the ideas of werewolves and stuff and I would like to go hunting werewolves when I get to higher level and become a werewolf. but a few people said I will get banned if I do so. So I would like to know if I will get banned for hunting werewolves and becoming one?

    I think you misunderstood.

You can face account action if you repeatedly camp and kill the unique enemy that grants the werewolf bite in order to prevent others from getting it. That's it.

I doubt anyone would get banned for repeatedly killing a mob unless they were using a bot program for doing so. I haven't read anything in the T&C's that states you can't kill the same mob over and over.

They have already asked players to report it. It's griefing, because the only possible reason to do it is to disrupt play for everyone else.

    It's only 'griefing' if
A: The mob doesn't drop any loot
B: It is the only mob in the entire game that applies the effect, and, C: Someone is somehow making it impossible for anyone else to tag the mob in question.

I've spent numerous hours down dungeons this weekend farming mats off boss's. None of the ridiculous amount of bots down any of them have stopped me tagging any mob. If anything, the bots need dealing with before any single player IMO.

Well, since that's exactly how those mobs work, I guess you agree that it's griefing.

If you don't understand how the bite mechanics work, don't defend the people who camp them just to maintain a stranglehold on the pay-for-bite economy.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm saying the likelihood of someone getting banned for killing the same mob over and over is slim. Unless it's specifically mentioned in the T&C's i would be demanding my monies back straight away.

You can demand whatever you want after getting banned for intentionally blocking content from people. This isn't just "killing a mob" as you seem to think.

Griefing is taking action in a game that does your character no good but harms the playability of the game for others. So repeatedly killing werewolf infecting mobs would be griefing.

That being said, you could argue that this whole situation is as a result of ill thought out design in the first place.

Per the EULA, Zenimax can essentially ban you for any reason they deem appropriate. That's the case for all EULA for all games - they're written in very broad brush strokes to give the developer freedom to apply hefty amounts of discretion. SO, if you're caught doing something that is deemed detrimental to others (e.g. being a *** and griefing others by prohibiting them from achieving a certain objective - such as being bit by a werewolf) - they can ban you. Doesn't mean they will, but they certainly can.

I know what you're all saying and i know it's not nice to do such a thing but i still say no one is going to get banned for repeatedly killing a mob. It sets a precedent that would tie up support forever. Not to mention open up the whole PvP aspect of when someone kills you over and over again just because they can (damn rogues in WoW spring to mind).

Well, corpse camping is impossible in PvP. So no, that isn't going to be an issue.

    Next.

You yourself gave a list of what something would need to be in order to be griefing.. people told you the werewolf scenario fit your list. So by your own definition, it is griefing, and yet you're still trying to defend it for some reason.

Yes, the vampire bite issue will resolve it self the same day the game run of of people desperate enough to pay serious gold to get bitten.
    This will be pretty soon.
Limited number of them, add that vampires can infect others, so numbers of donors will double every week even with not using the npc.

Note I'm a healer, if you are an vampire and stand in fire, its bad for your health
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
