Good Pvp Magsorc Sets?

Hey,

Havent really played since nerfmire but a couple of friends have started playing again and Im thinking about getting back into things. Looking for any advice on getting my build updated. What sets are good, what skills are people running, helpful build tips.

I use shacklebreaker and combined it with other set, sometime spinner, spell strategist, vd. Sometime max mag if no cp like btb, necropotence, alfiq. I maintain stam a little bit higher now that dizzy get buffed and proc set become meta so I can roll back and run and streak away when they come closer. Monster set either balorgh or that set that proc cute little dwarcen spider (forgot the name).

Cp, no cp, cyro, bg, Ic? Zerg, small-scale or solo.

It's like trials, where u also have different setups sometimes even one per boss.

Don't use this build but I run this on No CP and has never let me down, its great when you get a VD combo since no one is expecting a non bomber to run this

2x Maw of the Infernal ( can be swapped for Balorg )
5x mad Tinkerer's ( can be swapped for Necro/New Moon )
5x Vicious Death

Front Bar: Frags/Crushing Shock/Ward/Streak/Fury/Meteor
Back Bar: Defense Rune/Curse/Dark Conversion/Boundless Storm/Power Surge/Negate ( if in group ) or Atro

My build for BGs is a very old school petless, shield-stacking one, 0 procs, pure stats. The build isn't meta but isn't bad either. The build is never subject to metashifts, that's what I love on it.

1x Domihaus
1x Swarm Mother
5x Amber Plasm or Shacklebreaker (maybe unpopular set but I get better overal results with Amber Plasm)
5x Bright Throat Boast (with Spring Loaded Infusion drink)

But generaly, sets you should look at are Bright Throat Boast, Crafty Alfiq, Shacklebreaker, Necropotence etc. Stacking max magicka is still the best option you have.

BTB, necropotence, Impreg if you want to wear divines and not use tri-glyphs, pirate skeleton, engine guardian, maw of the infernal

I wear divines alfiq, pirate skeleton, master's destro front, brp resto back, torc & trainee rings. I think pets and EG are kind of cheap LOS so I don't use them. I play BGs mostly so I'm not as worried about crit and impen only takes off 2% crit damage per piece, roughly.

I'm pretty tanky thanks to pirate skeleton but if I don't see a cloaked NB coming I can drop like a fly. Managing resources with torc is a whole minigame too.

MalcolM's build are a good place to look.

VD is not just for bomber. I think its great for open world pvp when fighting big group. Sometime its even good in bg where people also tend to huddle together. Use it on magsorc, between this set proc and mage wrath its a good combo.
