Monster Trophy Achievement - What is reason behind such low drop rate?

YsgramorDovKroniid
Dear @ZOS_RichLambert , @ZOS_GinaBruno ,

for past 5 days I have read all forums/websites regarding Monster Trophy achievement. All comes down to one simple fact: RNG is low beyond any reason imaginable. With all possible guides, tricks, farm spots, UESP percentages of drop rates no one can finish this achievement without loosing his/hers mind.

I have been playing since 2016, I have looted everything since then, because that is what I read on some forum when I started playing and it was good advice. So imagine person playing game for 4.5 years and still missing 8 trophies. I dedicated myself to farm these past few months and I can tell you, I have not made a big progress. When I say dedication, I mean 2-3 hours everyday, just mindlessly grinding this trophies.

So for small 5 achievement points, let me ask you, why are you doing this to your community? What is reason behind such low drop rate? Do you think it is fun killing 7000 mudcrabs or 1000 mammoths, who finds this to be fun? Game has so much to offer, beautiful quests, dialogues, scenery, dungeons and trials that demand real dedication and we are supposed waste our time killing critters on the beach for trophy??

Long ago you denied trophy sharing, which was bad move, to be honest with you. Most of people want all achievements on main character but they usually get trophy drops on other characters. And what then? They spent weeks for some trophy on main but they get after 5 kills on other and why are they punished for it? What is gamebreaking consequences if this option is active?
But biggest question should be: What do you have to lose if you increase drop rates?. People will not stop playing the game just because they have all trophies, they have tons of other things to do. This will make your community happier, just like I said for book drop rates. Your game is completionist paradise, why is there a need to make it hard for everyone?

Please, listen to our plea, significantly increase these drop rates and use this opportunity to create furniture trophies for trophy category or for each trophy, whatever is easier for you. Imagine how that would be nice for players. They farm creatures in Tamriel for a short while and they have fun and in the end they receive real visible reward, which they can display in house, to feel happy and proud.
Now, when they somehow get all of them, they have nothing but 5 points and broken mind from mindless grinding.

I hope this message reaches you and that we can finally close this topic and have fun playing ESO the way is meant to be played.

Agreed. I’ve been playing nearly daily since April 2014, I have thousands and thousands of hours and over 30k achievement points on my main toon, and haven’t even gotten half of those monster trophy items. I have spent probably 100 hours farming flesh atros for the Symbiont before abandoning hope that I will ever get any of those achievements.

The reason is to make you kill time and spend more time in the game doing it.

    I agree, its annoying

I've also been playing since April of 2014 and have thousands of hours and, fortunately, I have more than half of the trophies but I still need 7 of them to complete the achievement. My main has accomplished everything else that she can and farming trophies is all she does now. I'm so sick of Mammoths and Ogrims that I could spit! And the worst for me is the Nerieds. They almost never drop ANY loot, let alone, the trophy. It's very frustrating!

For nereids there was a cave that allows you to kill more then 20 per minute if you were fast. Took me couple hours to drop Item tho

It used to be that we could collect the Trophies on any Alt, then feed them to one character to "Use" in order to tally it.

So, some moron complained that they did not know they had to use these things, and instead was selling them. So they made the Trophy register on Pick Up. Instead of, you know, updating the Tool Tip so someone with a clue could read it, then figure out what to do. Or perhaps, making it so that they could not be sold.

Which means, I have all the Trophies, just not on any one character. Spread across 9 Alts.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Can say for sure they all drop.

Some took ~10 hours or so of work to do

Some took ~1 hour or so

Many of them I got from just doing regular activities (They do appear to have a significantly higher drop rate from mobs within group dungeons versus overland mob versions)
The Unshattered - Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - The Brilliant - Moth Trusted - The Just - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

The RNG is atrocious. I've wasted way over 10 hours on shalks, ice atros and nereids eachand didn't get anything. I simply stopped caring about these achievements. I'll probably get the trophies from some random mobs in a dungeon someday.

Yes, the drop rate is low. Not everything needs to be one time and you get it.

That said, I'm certainly not going to grind out the monster trophies on a 2nd character. It's a "over time" achievement, that requires you to do some focus on certain aspects of the game.

It's not for everybody... (and they're only 10 points, you get 50 for finishing a motif)

Ratio drop is atrocious, we all agree on that. My list continues unfinished (started in 2015). I stopped caring about this long ago.

I agree with this but I'm doing it for the dyes and there's not much left for me. After 5k+ hours I feel like this needs to be done so I can get the ugly colors and forget about this genuinely unfun stuff.
