Vampire feeding does not increase stages

Been stuck on stage 1, feeding does not increase my vampire stage.

    How exactly are you 'feeding'? If you're doing anything other than crouching into sneak and approaching the NPC from behind at the right range then hitting the button for 'feed' it wont work. Also, make sure the prompt isnt showing blade of woe. If you trigger that you are too close to feed.

    Not OP, but I've had the same issue ever since Greymoor dropped. My character was already a vampire before it came out; dunno if it matters, but I have not bought Greymoor yet. Platform is PS4. Was hoping the recent patch would fix it, but nada.

    And before anyone asks, I know how feeding works, the animation triggers and everything, I've received achievements for feeding x amount of times, but my stage has not increased at all.

    slight necro but i just hit the same bug, cant find a solution

    I mentioned this in the other thread, but I'll post it here as well.

    if this is the case this is absolutely unacceptable, this might be affecting those who PAID CROWNS to be a vampire, if something like this is bugged enough to need to be reset it is asking for some serious backlash
