PVP really need a 1v1 tournement mode or 1v1 que

Whatever fun can be found in running around with a chaosball or being outnumbered 100/1 in Cyrodiil this game could really use a 1v1 mode.

And no running around asking random people for duels or spam "Fight me" in guild chat is not the same.

Casual 1v1 training in que would be amazing and allow us to test different pvp gear and setups.

Why it's not in the game is beyond me.

If the game had a 1v1 mode I would spend soooo much time in it and could easily be done when you have 5 minutes of spare time.

Not really. People have organized tournaments without such a system. Dueling was added to the game so people could duel. By design it is not part of the organized PvP.

What is needed is a 4v4 or 8v8 BG.

guild organized 1v1 has to be planned and can not be done for casual 1v1 training.
Waiting a week or two for a 1v1 tournament is NOT want i'm talking about lol.

I'm talking a que to fight 1v1 here and now - not a week from now.

As stated in the post you quoted, dueling was not made part of organized PvP by design. It is clearly an intentional choice Zos made.

It would be full of griefers. No one wants to fight unkillable tanks 1v1.

I like the idea but it would only work if you had a good MMR system where you go up with a win and down with a loss so it is not just dependent on how much you play (or whatever that ranking system is called) and people stuck with it for a bit until the rankings settle down.

This would just be a feeding frenzy for top tier DPS. It sounds like fun, but in reality, I think it would be a huge buzz kill for most of us.

I suggested ages ago that an arena battle system for one on one up to four on four fights would be a great addition to the game, with player spectators who could cheer on their favorites and even make wagers. Combatants could receive various rewards, like small amounts of AP, special gear, and cosmetic items. I would describe these as special landmarks in regions where players could come and go from the waiting and crowd areas at will, and enter in a queue to be allowed to battle inside the arena. Shops and even guild trader locations could be added to the arena areas, making them a major draw for all sorts of activity.

The dueling system is fine, and I do own the arena home, but there’s no in game structure in place to organize and operate tournaments.

A global 1 vs 1 mode would be great if it would auto port duelers to the specific locations so they are not dueling in cities, bank at crafting stations and such.

lol no it doesn't. This is literally what dueling is.

Now that said, an actual arena system where players can do 5v5 would be nice. I've never been a fan of 2v2 or 3v3 brackets, but if you're going to go through the effort to make a 5v5 may as well do 2v2 and 3v3 as well.

    some plane of oblivion

but this needs to be the case for all duels, moreover they could add grandstands and those that want can live there too!

As much as I love dueling in this game some builds can be made to be practically unkillable in a duel. That being said if they introduced a ranked 1v1 PVP game mode with a special Battle Spirit buff tweaked for 1v1, as well as a special leaderboard for it I'd totally be in!
