looking to make my first tank class for dungeons

is there a best aoe class for tanking?
if you werent going to go with a standard tank like Dk or warden what would you go with for a first timer
whats the most fun tank?
would i lose out by not questing at the same time..points and gear?
what tank do people like to see in dungeons?
what tank do you see that you are surprised that actually tanks well thats not something you see everyday?
Necrotank?
Can a person just dungeon level and not lose out on anything?

Dk is forgivable.

Relative to individual and content.

Not really you will need skill points however there are enough without overworld questing.

Ones that supports the group and aren't selfish useless meatshields.

Anything can tank, it boils down to player skill.

Eh not my favorite, it can work just fine however.
Can a person just dungeon level and not lose out on anything?
Obviously no, however you will not miss out on anything that will effect tanking

Warden is a good tank just don’t make a Templar tank I tried but just couldn’t make it work , don’t think people Care too much as what class it is just as long as you can actually tank

I dungeon leveled my DK tank and loved it. I especially like being able to use "chains". He can take a beating and heal himself and with the right setup, skills, horns etc can really buff the hell out of a group. As for the other questions not sure, he's the only one I have. I have a Warden but he's set up as a cross between tank and dps just for soloing which is fun, he can solo a lot of mobs others can't. I switch his gear out when needed for group settings.

No one cares what you run in dungeons to be honest...run whatever you want.

That being said...DKs are still the king of tanks, followed by Warden and Necro because of the buffs/debuffs they bring.

As for fun...I used to run a sorc tank that was a lot of fun, was able to do decent damage while still tanking well enough...just very annoying because the only good class heal you have are pet heals and as a tank the last thing you want are more pets cluttering up the area.

I think DK's have the best tool box to work with. I've tried tanking all classes and felt like DK was most effective. You can make any class tough, but if you are trying to do some crowd control, buff the group, and take a beating, these guys are a good choice.
