I have a stamden and stamblade. Loved stamden for years. Now I'm playing stamblade and drastically prefer it.
    PvP needs more love.

I've played wardens for like 80% of my ESO playthrough.

StamDens feel clunky as hell if you go DW/Bow.

The only StamDen build I actually enjoy playing is Bow/Bow, even a TW/Bow.

When I played a StamBlade, It felt so smooth to play.

If you like nature, want to play a wood elf, want to have a bear friend go Warden.

If you want to use dark magic and siphoning abilities while jumping around and killing things go NB :D

Relequen is cool to me because it makes a tornado. But its a trial set so it might be hard.

Unfathomable Darkness is a decent stamina set which if you don't care about damage is pretty cool.

"5 items: When you deal damage, you call a murder of crows around you for 12 seconds. Every 3 seconds a crow will be sent to peck the closest enemy within 12 meters of you, dealing 6020 Physical Damage. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds."

You summon crows :) It's very spooky

Stam NB will probably be better in terms of damage in pve. Stamdens are nice for pvp, but so are nightblades also.

I would go for nightblades if there isnt any specific thing you are looking for.

NB has the best sustain:damage ratio atm so it will be nice for you

What kind of question is that ?! Of course Warden...

But, if you want to RP a rogue - go NB. Warden is more like a druid / ranger.

Nightblades make the best thieves, by far. And that includes both true stealing and simply stealthing past enemies who otherwise would want to fight you, as well as getting into position for opening a fight with a sniper shot.

My 2 most played characters are a stamden and and a Stamblade, so both good choices. I have them themed somewhat similarly, the nightblade as thief/ninja the warden as ranger/thief, but they still play a lot differently. I'd say Stamblade feels more dynamic, it's faster paced and you have to play more reactively. Stamden is more methodical, I wouldn't say it feels slow but it pays to be a bit more preemptive with your approach.

I love playing Stamden but I am about to make a stamNB because I want something a little different. As much fun as I have had on warden I feel like there is something missing from pushing the class over the top.

Warden has a large toolkit and can make for great hybrid builds for solo play but in groups they just underperform from a DPS standpoint. Mag warden has the higher ceiling than stam. I think NB is similar in terms of a higher ceiling for mag vs stam, but the two are closer together as far as the numbers look.

I’ve made a Magplar and MagDK since my Stamden and I’m burnt on mag toons at the moment. For me it was either Necro or NB. Looking at rotations and skills the Necro looks almost identical to warden from a battle standpoint. Set your dots and cast BB every third skill. Warden is the same with sub assault every third. NB offers something different and that’s why I decided to go in that direction.

    Good luck with your build.

It was an important decision because i only want to make 2 charactars to play with. My time is limited ;-)

So now i have magsorc and stamBlade

Just chose the appearance and it is looking awesome ;-)

Nightblades are easier to kill for me in pvp, so go nb.

Chances are, the OP isn't going to PvP anyway, so please let him enjoy his glowy red Nightblade in peace.

Depending on how long you stick around the game you will always want more. When I started I thought 1 toon was enough and I spent hours researching what I wanted to ply until I landed on Warden. I started as magicka but didn’t like it at all, fortunately I was Khajiit so flipping to stamina was easy and I never looked back.

I did however look forward and started a Magplar to play solo content like maelstrom and the base game 4 man dungeons solo. I’ve converted it to a decent enough toon to bring along to some vet trials with some retooling of skills and equipment along the way.

As it turns out my first two toons were decent at maelstrom and soloing and could slot easily into 90% of the vet dungeons and normal trials. But I also want to chase endgame trials so I made a 3rd.

MagDK is my vet trials toon and hits super hard, but with the added expense of being super squishy. Yes that’s the trade when building endgame. This toon is suitable for regular content but can barely solo to save her life. With some tweaking I could turn her into a decent enough multipurpose toon. But the magicka grind being what it is for lore books and psijic skills I needed a break from it.

So I made that 4th toon last night. Orc Stamblade and I’m trying out the Skinny Cheeks double DW build because I’m also a bit tired of bow on the backbar.

I’m telling myself 4 toons is enough now but in 2 months I will probably make a 5th. That’s kind of how it goes for me. Every 2 months I need to try a different flavour!

Warden's are definitely more flashy than NB's if that matters.

NB's do seem more appealing to me recently because they use the Shade for dps, having a clone of myself in other games like Maplestory was always super cool. Not exactly the same thing in ESO, but a nice touch of uniqueness added to the game in 2019.
