I mean seriously : who thought this to be a good idea. To spent 40+ minutes in a game, fishing... Fishing... IN a game. I mean couldn't you think any worse counter-productive, time-wasting actrivity for your player base... Fishing..?
.
Some people (me included) enjoy it. [snip] Leads are spread up around almost all different aspects of the game, and that's a good thing.
There's forum threads complaining about leads being involved with fishing, PVE, PVP, justice system, did I forget something? Probably.
Everybody is pissed that a lead drops in the content they don't want to do. The fact that people literally cannot look past "I want leads in the content I like and nowhere else" is incredible to me.

I cant believe i wasted 2 days for fishing and got nothing.
Is this new eso selling point?
Who the hell suggest fishing for mythic gear?

Can you at least find more interesting and profitable ways to link mythic items with. I mean is fishing really a sign of, what, resolve... Dedication? I mean geeez
You should always present us with an alternative way when it comes to such activities. Let's say a lead dropping from fishing and by farming bosses in a public/normal dungeon with increased drop rate from hard mode etc.
I mean there can't be a single person out there who thinks : "Oh i can't wait to log into ESO to go fishing"...
Show some respect for our time spent in the game.
HA HA - I hate fishing but I really like how leads are tied to all kinds of different aspects of the game. Settle in with a bucket of worms, chase the crowds and you'll land that lead in no time plus a lot of fish which might even give you some roe!

But keep fishing out of the gameplay that doesnt relates with it, fishing is maybe calming but i'm not in interest on fishing so i understand everyone that finds it plain boring to press "e" every X seconds.
The 'Don't like it, just don't do it it's not mandatory' posts really need to stop.
What does that even contribute to the discussion? Plus it doesn't even make sense.
If you think for a second, you might realize that Antiquities have several types of exclusive and bound rewards that do require you to grind the Antiquities skill, and then also grind random content for the leads which are often not related to the items at all. And the grind is mandatory for everyone who wants to stay competitive in their MMO, requiring access to the Mythic items.
This is by design just like much in the game. Sets that are good for PvP are only available by doing PvE content. Some PvP skills are all but required for PvE. Undaunted sends you to delves. Fighters guild sends you to dolmen. Mages guild sends you all over hell and back. Psijic skill line sent you back all over hell again.
They want players doing a variety of content and base new things in part on that.
There are several Antiquities Leads you can get from multiple sources, such as Chests AND Thieves Troves AND random Daedric encounters in the zone AND harvesting nodes AND Public Dungeon bosses. I haven't seen a single person complaining about it 'Oh no, if you give players several options to get Leads from, it ruins it for me, because I WANT that lead to ONLY drop from Thieves Troves!'I guess the only solution to make everyone happy is for ZOS to just give everyone all the leads as soon as they download Greymoor. The 'Don't like it, just don't do it it's not mandatory' posts really need to stop.

See the difference is, i want to game. A game. Simple as that. Fishing is..not.
On PvP you cant do while watching TV, cause you either focus on that game and play...OR watch tv...fishing is...well you're perfectly fine while watching tv cause you...press a button every X seconds. Well some might watch TV while PvP too but, honestly that wont go well and you either get lost watching that movie or you lose in PvP. Same on a dolmen or a delve...you have to press more then just one button while idleing.
Fishing? I dont see that as a gaming activity, cause you do basically nothing. Okay if 20 players chase a fishing spot, that might looks hilarious, but thats for a short amount of time. Very short for me.
