Magplars Sustain Issue On Pve

I can not believe creators can not realize magplars sustain issue on pve from last two patches. Its going to worst in every new patch.
For a good parse magplars need better sustain than other classes. Because most of magplar skills depends on max magicka for example radiant and purifiying light.
I really wonder when will Zos realize and fix this issue.

Really?? I've been watching the two top guilds scorepushing each other through vHOF and the craglorn trials on YouTube...one of the youtubers always seems to be on a Magicka Templar. No real sustain issues with him, maybe a heavy attack here and there but nothing to suggest that the magplar's terrible sustain can't be managed

Can still hit 90k+ without running out of mag on plar this patch. Are you using parsefood when parsing? Are you using a trial dummy?

    ?
Magplar has exceptionally good sustain in any group with a decent healer rolling out buffs occasionally. I seriously don't understand the "Mapgplar don't sustain" threads.I manage to sustain decently on my main even without False God's. Use synergies. Sustain.
Trials are an orb-fest and have been so for last two patches, as most mag DD's slot them. I have so many synergies popping up for me that they get annoying. LOL. Seriously.Press X.

    [snip]

If you struggle with sustain use your rune and aura, and HA with a resto staff. We have enough sustain tools.

This. Templar has all the tools built in for decent sustain. Seriously though, channeled focus every other rotation is all you need. If you're still struggling, slap on a recovery glyph, or swap one of those bloodthirsty/infused jewels to arcane.

I have no sustain issues at all on my two MagPlars and neither has the best gear nor optimal build, and they're both Vampires and usually stay at stage 3 if not 4. How are you running out of resources so easily? Genuinely asking. What is your build and rotation?

Been playing MagPlar for quite some time now. Sustain when solo on a 3m Dummy can be a bit of a pain without using Rune Focus. But in a group, I have more Magicka than I know what to do with.

    Equipment:
    Overwhelming
    Scathing Mage
    Zaans
    Maelstrom Staff
PS4-NA. Breton Templar Healer, Bosmer Stamplar, Breton Magplar, Orsimer StamDK, Dunmer MagDK, Khajiit StamNB, Dunmer MagNB, Argonian Warden Tank, Altmer Magsorc

You can have all the Magicka in the world, as soon as your magicka drain is higher than your magicka regen you will eventually run out of magicka....
i understand his struggles, i got the same since i dont use BFB anymore, then again, i dont slot channeled focus. i guess it takes time to get used to it again

Magplar has a simple 10second static rotation which is easy enough to maintain resources with a dynamic channeled focus instead of 1 spammable. Honestly my mag never drops under 40% when parsing and that's with 38k max mag, and in group content isn't a problem at all with the caveat of a half decent healer. I never made the switch to vampire as I didn't see the benefit of it at the time; glad I didn't now if suddenly an age old baked in skill is a problem...

Honestly it’s magDK that needs the sustain more than magplar. I’m wearing purple MS and Julianos and can sustain on both using ghastly eye bowl. Magplar is all about maintaining your channel focus and being careful not to over cast sweeps or ele weapons. Both are easy to overcast because of the channel time. Force pulse is easier to control and better for timing I find but sustain issues are mainly due to overcasting on magplar.

MagDK skill cost is higher and the class hits harder but now the BFB crutch is gone easy sustain means running unrelenting grip to return the magicka cost to get your “free” skill and damage. You are sacrificing damage for sustain this way. It’s not a trade you have to make on magplar.

You could also look at spell symmetry from the mages guild for sustain as well and it works with sweeps on magplar because sweeps is healing you but that’s Trading health for sustain. BFB was doing the same thing plus adding damage. It’s easy to see why it got nerfed because it made the other skills obsolete.
