Celebrating the end of Thrassian Stranglers

Thrassian Stranglers have dominated time trials this patch both in a parsing sense and in discussion, and to be honest i'm glad they're getting changed. They were becoming beyond a meme. They might still be used in Maelstrom Arena or in a PvP raid, but in 12-person trials 23 spell/weapon damage per stack over 50 stacks with -6k health just isn't worth it anymore. It was fun at the start and the memes of the Thrassian gloves will be around for a long time yet but we'll not be hitting numbers like we have this patch for a long time to come. And i'm fine with that also. RIP.

✭Little by little, all gear and weapons in ESO are becoming so flat and boring in the name of "b a l a n c e". Content seems to not be far behind in that respect. Quantity over quality.
Mythic gear really is becoming something mythical indeed...

✭✭Most people don't play this game competitively, we just play for fun. The stranglers were fun, now they are useless because the leader board types ruined it for everyone... awesome. Exactly how much of the population cares about this type of activity anyways? Everyone I know has turned off those stupid notifications and could care less what leader board score someone got.

I have a feeling it is similar situation to Smiter's Boon in gw2.
You see in GW2 the balancer had to go to germany and they were having a hard time figuring out how to modify a skill that had become all too common. In the end before he left for germany they decided to change the skill with the goal of merely making it no longer a problem. For fun here is the skill.
