Character pathing : a matter of death and life

As many housing fans, I have waited for character pathing with a lot of excitement since the announcement.

In the past days, I have decorated a house whose owner, a powerful sorcerer, got nerfed forever as he died. And his house is now haunted.

Sadly, the novelty stick horse and the stone pet can't be programmed with the pathing tool : the option doesn't appear when targeting them. Is that intended (in which case it would be very sad) or is there a problem ? The patch notes don't mention any restriction. This two items roaming around would have been the master piece of this house !

Please do something ! Thanks !

Its intended, it was even mentioned in one of the streams that they would not be pathable, so unfortunately, I doubt they will ever fix it ><; which is unfortunate because it would have been a lot of fun to make these walk around!

Thanks for your answer Archangel. <3 Sniff, that's too bad. The stick horse inspired the whole concept of the house (and a previous one too).

Is it possible to group pets? And can pathing lead underground? (I haven't logged in since the update, so I haven't tested anything yet). If it works, you could group the pet stone with a different pet underneath and make that move invisibly underground, so you only see the stone moving above ground? Just an idea.

It is possible to path things under ground and through solid objects, so maybe this would work? I'm not sure, but it's certainly worth a try for such a cool concept! @Eyllora

Well, I don't know. I think they said on Twitch once that pathing can go through walls, so maybe it works with the floor as well? Would be my idea. That's the way they get furniture to "magically" move in theaters and magic shows in rl (well, of course not with a pet underground, but you get the idea, I guess).

And yes, I really think it's a fascinating concept for a home :)

Thanks for the suggestion ! I'll try when I go back online !
I guess that, in any case, character pathing will have unexpected applications in our house ! I can tell at least that my ghost pets are very funny when they go through walls !!
