Have an option to purchase Crown Gems

Like Crown Bundles have Crown Gem Bundles for sale in the Crown Store. Not all players want to purchase the Crown Crates to be able to extract Crown Gems from unwanted or junk items via the cards they get. I really don't think ZOS should have a problem with that, Its money in their pocket and it gives players another option to purchase items with Crown Gems.

The entire purpose of crown gems is tied to crates. Removing that requirement defeats the purpose. They might as well just sell gem items for crowns at that point.

It might be more customer friendly, but keep in mind that is not the main priority of ZOS. They want people to feel the need to buy crates and gem items, including gem exclusives, are all a part of that strategy.

Yes, and as such, there is no reason for Zos to sell them separately Logically speaking, the cost would be so high that it might be better to just buy the crates to get the gems. Something like 50k crowns spent on crates would yield about as much gems as spending 60k+ on gems straight up. That does not seem like a good deal to me, though I do not buy crates.

Average gem worth per crate seems to be right around 11 gems assuming you have all the collectibles already minus radiant/apex. So they'd need to make each gem cost an equivalent ratio to do this to maintain profit margins.
Something like... 5000/15=333 crowns per crate. 15 crates x 11 gems = 165 gems per batch. On average it'd take you 37 crates to obtain 412 gems. If each crate is factored to be 333 crowns worth then each gem would be worth 40 crowns. So they would sell batches of I guess 25 Gems for around 1000 crowns. Which would mean 400 gems would cost you 16000 Crowns.

This is all assuming their goal is to provide the option to obtain an apex while people avoid their loot crates without it cutting into their profits. 16000 sounds right since it'd cost you 15,000 to obtain 45 crates. You're basically forfeiting the extra chances at duplicates for a guaranteed reward at a net loss.

Add about 50% at the minimum to Kitty's numbers as Zos would take into account having to buy enough crates to get all the collectibles to begin with as it makes sense business-wise.

Then Zos should add more on top of that to account for the randomness of getting the exact apex mount one is hoping for.

In the end, we are not talking about being able to spend 5k or even 10k crowns value to outright purchase an apex mount. It will be many times that because Zos would not want to lose value.
