I have recently discovered that Venomous Smite's AoE does not deal damage if the target it is applied to dies. The visual AoE still remains. However when enemies enter it, they do not suffer damage.

If the intent is that the AoE no longer is in effect when the applied target dies, then the visual effect should expire as well.

If the intent is that the AoE remains effective after the applied target dies, then this should be investigated and resolved as it does not continue to deal damage to enemies in it's effective area.
