Character turns to pile of ash briefly at login and then is permanently invisible

At the initial release of this game there was a bug that sometimes when one was incinerated in cyrodiil the character would respawn permanently invisible. Can still interact with NPCs, attack players in PVP, all the while permanently invisible. Put in ticket way back then, no response, left game as friends were increasingly playing other games.

I returned to the game a couple of days ago and character is still bugged from more than 1/2 a decade ago. Put in another ticket and got a canned 'remove your disguise, reset ui' response. Went ahead and got a disguise out of bank and put on/off, reloadui figuring perhaps that may be a way to clear bug. Also Ive attacked a guard to go through the killed / respawn in game to perhaps clear bug. Still bugged.

On login or respawn, character is incinerated to a pile of ash, and is then permanently invisible. Not viewable by player, by friends, in or out of group. Character is not drawing in game.

If I had to guess there was probably a fix to the incinerate / player respawn put in place more than a 1/2 decade ago however I was no longer playing and perhaps the character was in some archived state and missed the fix.

There is often an auto-response when a new ticket is created and that is what you got.

Reply to that auto-response once, and only once. Continuing to reply to it sends the ticket to the end of the line. The same thing happened when you created another ticket, everything got pushed to the end of the line and this happens with CS in other games as well.

Post the first ticket number here and @ZOS_BillE or one of their comrades will check to make sure it is in the correct queue and may have other advice. It can take more than two weeks to get a response as CS has been backed up since COVID started.

not enjoying the seemingly endless run through canned responses from call/email center.

character is in some damaged / bugged state on the back end. character got bugged years ago and put in some state that will not clear the incinerate animation. while in game people running up to character will see him flash to ash and disappear.

other character on account do not have issue. if someone at zenimax could login to account one could experience the bug first hand.

Went to a friend's place and logged into my account from his PC and issue is still present. This would be a good indication the issue is not client based.

if tech support were able to login to account and select the 'delghinn' character it's reasonable to assume they would also experience the bug. the character has some flag or state to indicate the character is incinerated thus the reason the incinerate animation plays when ever logging in, when respawning, or when other players initially see character. This state will not clear for some reason.

the character is damaged on the backend. there is nothing I am ever going to be able to do to resolve on my end. The client is completely immaterial to the issue.

Is it possible to delete the delghinn character and recover said character? perhaps it'll clear this bugged state on your end.

origin of issue:
I was in cyrodiil some five years ago and character was incinerated by some means in pvp. On respawn the character was put into this bugged state where he incinerates to a pile of ash and is invisible. It can be assumed this pvp bug was fixed sometime between my leaving the game some five years ago till today however for whatever reason my character has missed the fix as I returned to the game a few days ago.
