i only play dungeons with my tank ßo i never have this issue.
is this still a thing. i tried playing a dungeon with my crafter as a dealer and it only took 5 to 10 minutes. cant people wait that long? and i live in asia so i play when most players are offline

Yes, its still a thing. More often than not in normal rather than vet though. Also, a 5-10 min wait isn't as common as you'd think. A 20-30 min wait time happens a lot more imo. Even waiting 1-1.5 hrs isn't surprising.

5-10 mins is healer wait time. Are you sure you queued as dps? 😂

why don't you ask people in your guilds to do dungeon and avoid the finder?

Yeah, it annoys me. Fake healers, fake tanks. People going all LEROY JENKINS into mobs. Funny thing is a lot don't realize that healers and tanks do a lot more than just healing and drawing aggro there's also the team buffs, enemy debuffs and a team working properly in this way can melt mobs faster. If you don't want to wait on a que join a guild or ask people to go with you. It's kind of just meh that so many will fake tank or fake healer in a dungeon to que jump. I had a dlc dungeon in my early dungeon days with a fake tank we all died on final boss so they rage quit. I asked a tank friend of mine to help and we all got through it with no problem.

The thing is that some dungeons are so easy that you can solo them - so every tactic is viable iuncluding running ahead and queueing as tank or healer while you're not.
Especially those dungeons that you can play when levelling up are complete walkovers. You just can not fail those (no matter how hard you try).

I dont think that has a good influence on how people appoach dungeons once they can queue for harder and vet dungeons.

Agreeing with the rest of your post, I have a slightly different experience on that particular issue. When I'm solo queuing for a random normal dungeon as a real tank or real healer at CP810+, I sometimes end up doing both the tanking and the healing while also doing 50% of the damage, or more, in the entry level dungeons Fungal Grotto 1, Spindleclutch 1 and Banished Cells 1. New players eagerly queue up for those totally unprepared as soon as they reach level 10, wearing trash gear or no gear and using their training weapon from the tutorial. I don' t mind, not at all, this is one of the fun things about random groups, and I really enjoy welcoming new players and showing them around, but if I hadn't been part of those groups, my bet is that they would have struggled to complete it.

The game has players across a very wide range of skill levels, from woefully inept (but mostly improving very quickly) to god-like veterans.

i have no issues with the dungeon finder my main is a tank so longest i have to wait is 15 minutes. i just see alot of people complaining in reddit and forum. didnt realized it was a thing because i always queue as a tank.
i play as a healer sometimes but never as a dealer. feel like its always a dps race in pugs. if you dont do enough damage tanks or healers complain and leave mid dungeon.
