Disappearing Familiar

My main sorcerer's familiar goes away (disapparates?) 3-10 seconds after he's summoned. This happens every time whether I call the Volatile Familiar or the Twilight Matriarch. They make a dying noise, then fall over dead and they're gone. Everything worked fine until a couple days ago.

I tried:
Moving to different Tamriel locales,
Resetting keybindings back to default
Reinstalling ESO on a new drive (with no add-ons)
All the above in Windows Safe mode.

Oddly, my other sorcerer (that I don't use except for crafting) keeps their familiar after casting. No change. Both sorc's are sitting at about level 35.

Since it happens on one sorc and not the other, and I have removed addons, default keys, it is hard to think what I might have done to cause this.

Any thoughts or suggestions for troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Uninstall the Lazy Writ Crafter addon.

Thanks @Elsonso for your quick response. I checked Minion--I don't use Lazy addons and so none were installed.

But that brings up a good point--to clarify--I have no addons showing--I zipped my addons directory up and then deleted all the files....when I click on ADD-ONS there is nothing to see or select.

Well, no addons in the folder means it is not an addon issue.

That is the easiest answer, since the addon I mentioned specifically does this around crafting stations and writ drop off locations.

Repair, just to be sure, and if that does not fix it, you will probably have to open a ticket. That is unless someone else has a better idea.

This may not be your issue, but because I have no idea how new you are to the game I'm going to throw it out there. Do you have the familiars slotted on both bars? If not, they will despawn as soon as you swap bars.

OK---I repaired (again). Oh well....that did not change anything.

Thanks for the views and the help.

It suddenly (due to nothing I can think of to attribute it to) started working again. I am very relieved! It works, I have re-installed the game and minion, removed and subsequently reloaded a subset of the old addons, and it just works.

@Ishtarknows: I did have it on both bars when this problem started. But on my other sorc alts the Familiar still worked. It didn't mind having it on one bar as long as I didn't switch weapons.
