Its just mind blowing even on the mount to traverse from southern to Northernmost point I went from High rock gate to bottom , it never ends, so many ittle points, but it feels incredibly emtpy and massive in same time with Imperial city stunning in the middle

I just wonder why other regions aren't so massive, Cryrodil seems half the size of every other zone combined even more, its just ludricous

It probably just feels that way because you can't fast travel three-quarters of the map at any given time.

It does not feel that way , compare Cryrodil to any other zone it takes ages to traverse it even on mount it has highest amount of anything in game... Its almost another game with PvP

No, I think it really is that big. But part of it is probably its overall shape-- triangular or slightly hexagonal, rather than stretched out in a given direction like most of the other zones are.

That bugged the heck out of me, too, the first time I went to Cyrodiil.

You need to click on the filters icon and select what you want to see on the map, then you'll be able to see the delves and dolmens and other sites that you've discovered.

It feels empty because it is empty. I don't care what a guide says, just walking around Cyrodiil will show you how empty it is.

Part of the reason why it seems empty is that they severely limited the amount of harvesting nodes. When you're in Wrothgar, or another zone, and you see something you can interact with every 5 yards it makes you feel like the area is inhabited and fun to interact with. In Cyrodiil, you don't really have that. If you're literally walking around, it's just you and the environment to look at to pass the time. **

** Edit: forgoing the whole PvP aspect of 'passing time'

Lmao why is so hard for some ppl to accept Cryrodil is so massive , you dont need runestones, lumber and ore every 10 yards to make it so,

I wonder if someone or dev can give us accurate size of it or every other zone , how to masure or ESO world in entirety compared to other MMOS

There is a significant difference between being massive and being empty.

Yes, Cyrodiil is massive in size and scale compared to other zones. And yes, it is empty in the same comparison.

Cyro just is stretched out, i highly prefer compact, dense zones where around every other corner something happens, is something outstanding, here this zone is just big for the sake of it.Not even the pvp'ers use it most of time, regulary populated is -at best- half of the zone.
On the other half you can camp for hours and not see a single player, even on well populated campaigns.

Cyrodiil is by far one of, if not the largest zone in the game. Its walled off into three parts and has a couple of biomes stretched out across the map making it feel a bit diverse.

Sadly for all that space Cyrodiil is mostly empty and the PVE quests there are the most basic kinds of quest in the game. Sure you might run into that one with the pregnant Imperial woman wanting you to deliver the news to her lover (Won't spoil the end), but it like many others like it are just there to point you to the PVE quest hubs.

Then again the PVE stuff is lackluster and basic for the sole purpose that its not the focus of the zone. The dynamic battlefield where the 3 factions fight for control is the focus of the zone, but sadly all that space is wasted since most fights occur in choke points like milegates and at the points of interest (Keeps, Temples, Resources, and Outposts)

Cyro is good size for pvp, but big and empty overall. I like the way other zones are, smaller and more packed.

Haven't you noticed there's almost nothing in Cyrodiil to see or do? Larger map sized means less props and other detail. A map of empty nothing.

I’m not a fan, I would love the size if it was as dense as other zones. It’s just so empty of features, landmarks etc plus for its huge size there is very little diversity in biomass. It’s just a bit dull to explore.

It makes some sense, Cyrodiil map has a lot of battle information on the map that can be obscured by the PvE markers when zoomed out. It's also a good way to introduce players to the map filters, it seems. Here's some additional info; your personal map, the transition shrine map, and the way shrine map all have their own saved settings. You may need to check/uncheck boxes for each.

I just wonder why other regions aren't so massive,

    Several reasons:

Lore wise Cyrodiil simply is the largest region in Tamriel.

Gameplay wise it pulls double duty as both the primary pvp hotspot and a zone with significant pve content. There were no battlegrounds or IC at launch. Cyrodiil was it for pvp.

Development wise the devs thought the community was going to embrace the Alliance War as the primary endgame at max level.

And that all ignores the actual financial cost of making the other zones larger.

Cyrodiil is large to introduce some strategy into the PvP campaigns. If the keeps were all closer together it would take a lot away from the strategy involved in trying to control the map.

The other zones are more compact because we would get frustrated with the distance needed to travel when doing the quests. Even with the wayshrines we would soon tire of the distances we would have to go.

So imagine if the whole Cyrodiil was there...it lacks a lot of the whole Cyrodiil. The map is not complete. The pending regions will be dlc parts like Gold Coast I guess and will never be part of the current cyrodiil map.

I only want to see Cyrodiil ripped up and molded into a PvE zone because of how depressing and awful the performance has become there. Cyrodiil is a waste of ZoS time, people should avoid deluding themselves into thinking Cyrodiil has any future.

Honestly I'd rather them break it up into smaller chunks, might fix some lag issues. Plus I hate the horse simulator for trying to get to the action.
