Let's beat that dead horse again!
This is the NUMBER ONE complaint with this game honestly.

Those awful flappy wings.
In your screen.
In front of my crafting station.
In front of YOUR crafting station.
Blocking the writ turn ins, or the loot, or ruining a screenshot... you name it.
The game is evolving but not the flapping bird and the ugly baboon'imp...
The matriarch needs resizing, retexture, reskin and rework, she literally gets in the way of both the caster and other people. It's useful in combat (decoys the enemies), but in the overland she's really too big (mostly, the wings) and I always tend to pull my ability on/off to make her disappear.
They feel most of the time out of place, ruining the immersion and the beautiful background.
That summon is obnoxiously huge: they're literally bigger than Bosmer characters, and that's not even including their wings...
Now imagine you aren't even a petsorc and you go into town to do your daily crafting and 7-8 petsorcs are standing around with their pets being an annoyance - wings flapping, birds in the way of the merchant, banker, and boxes - yeah.

ZoS, please, let us customize our summons.
I would purchase alternate summons in the Crown Store in an instant if I could replace the flappy bird, or the Warden Bear for something that suits my character better.
Atronach, imps, elemental summons, or daedric summons.
ANYTHING BUT THIS.

Please consider spending some time on that, instead of another reskinned camel/horse/bear/guar ... monstrosity (indriks?) for the next crown crate. PLEASE.

Let's not even talk about when fighting I can't even find where i am with my boundless storm ON amidst the chaos imagine having a massive flappy bird in your face then :')

I love the way the twilights and scamps look, but wish the twilight was smaller. It would be great if they gave people the option to re-skin the twilight and reduce the size to that of a nixad.
It would be cool if the twilight automatically reduced in size every time you did a dungeon/trial, or whenever you were near crafting stations.

    +1

Those wings get in the way esp when that bird's sitting on my head while I'm tanking... wings block ranged taunt quite happilly and even can get in betwixt face to face encounters. Really need a shrink on these things at the very least in PvE (since I know PvP wiill be upset if the targets get smaller xD)

I'd be happy if only they didn't blocked actions xP

But an option to disable them in your client and preventing you from seeing them would be awesome. Pets, at the very least. As for summons, idk...make them transparent outside of combat?

Or you know, we could encourage them to put it behind PvE achievements instead?

That being said, as a sorc main I agree, but I don't see it happening as the Winged Twilight is an actual Daedra that makes an appearance as far back as Morrowind. You're summoning that specific Daedra and the skill is named appropriately. If they renamed that skill to something akin to Unstable Familiar (familiars being companion combat pets) then it would be more lore friendly. Having skills w/ pets + morphs that are oriented towards various specializations would also be a pretty nice of introducing more variety, similar to Warlocks in World of Warcraft with Voidwalker for tanking, Felhunter for DPS, etc. (not getting into specific Warlock specs).

The fact that the ENTIRE community spam the forum (including myself) with this subject for years now, and the fact that actually NEVER, not a single TIME Zos talked about it. We have to motivate them, and you know? Zos, Money ;)
I mean that's cool that we get double mount NOBODY asked for, BUT how about they listen to the forum for once...

Auto de-summoning of pets in towns would be a step in the right direction.

It's ZOS' fault for changing the way pets work, so that you can't just press the associated skill button to de-summon them, as at launch. Now, you have to go to the character screen and de-activate them. Most sorc players don't want to bother to do that, and some may not even know that's possible.

At least they no longer have collision, as they did at launch. I've said this before, but I remember going to the bank in Riften and after talking to the banker, I was blocked in by a couple of clannfear and had to jump up onto the counter so I could access the door to get out.

Also, since crafting writs were introduced, so many players spend time in towns doing those, and pets get in the way of both the stations and writ turn-ins. Then, add all the new flappy non-combat pets. What a visual nuisance! At least they are now making non-combat pets invisible when interacting with NPCs and stations, as combat pets are.

But, as someone else already posted, they haven't done anything about this nuisance before, so I don't see them doing anything about it now. Perhaps just making sorc players aware of how much of a nuisance their pets are in towns would help, but I suspect most of them already know this and couldn't care less.

They should just make them invisible to other players, the same way they did blockade, and other non synergy aoes a few years ago.

Or make them a crime in town. That would be funny.
