Everyone (myself included) is often moaning about all the problems with ESO here on the forums. That's partly what forums are for - reporting problems, asking for changes, making suggestions, etc. This is perfectly understandable, especially when people spend 100s of $$$ every year on this game. This can make it seem like there are only problems with ESO, which is definitely not the case.
Let's also take a moment to appreciate the magnificence and beauty of this game! It's probably the best MMORPG I've every played. Very immersive, heaps of content (thousands of hours, practically infinite), and a tremendous library of
lore. It would take weeks to read all lorebooks, poems, and other readings with backstory to quests and incidents in this world. ESO is essentially the gem of TES, putting together all content from all different games and delivering it in one MMO. The world of ESO is so immersive and rich that also helps with RP, DnD, cosplaying, fanfic writing etc.
For example, lore and depth to the Templar class:
Many
stories are very well-written, especially the Aldmeri Dominion story line. Some stories were very touching, especially when some characters had to die. It's great how some recurring characters are written and appear in different storylines too. Makes the game feel more connected.
My top-pick would be the story of Aranias:
Another area for praise is the amazing
graphic design and animations. Sure, there bugs and glitches from time to time, but no game is perfect. I first started as an Altmer because of my love for peaceful elven paradises, and absolutely fell in love with Auridon and Summerset's designs. The music takes you to another world (Tamriel I guess), I listen to AD soundtracks all the time to help me relax (other zone soundtracks are good too, but AD is my favourite). Brad Derrick and co for the win!
A beautiful scenery in Auridon:
And Lillandril (notice how base game is comparable in beauty to DLC):
On a similar note,
voice acting and singing are amazing. I love how each race has their own distinct language and accent in Tamrielic, even race-specific phrases like "Thank the Stars!". Voice acting is great and often very immersive. It's awful when people complain about "fake" British accents etc... For non-native English speakers like myself the differences are negligible and the different accents sound really cool. Interactive dialogues make you connect with characters. And I like different songs and ambient dialogue - e.g. Red Diamond or NPCs praising me for achievements... Though NGL, do you know how long I've been looking to kill Stuga?
Shout-out to the Khajiit accent and phrases:
I just want to thank all the devs, game designers, directors, voice actors, writers, forum moderators, etc. etc., for the amazing work they've put into this game. Life-changing experience for many of us!
