Dev Request: Better incentives are needed for Cyrodiil testing to be populated.

As a long time DC PvPer in PC/NA, I am part of quite of a few PvP guilds and have a number of friends who PvP. Most of my guildies and friends plan on switching to IC or BGs or PvE farming for the testing months. Some of them are entirely dropping the game for the upcoming patch.

Most of our builds won't work and the work needed to remake the builds to some viable levels is entirely not worth the hastle. Some classes are literally unplayable with core skills on cooldown. Still a number of us would have been happy to join in Cyro for the testing as many of us play for the social aspect and general fun playing with friends as such. But the issue is that there is no real incentive for us to play in a semi-unplayable Cyrodiil.

Double AP is meaningless for a lot of us as a good number of people are swimming in AP accumulated over the years. Yes, sure having double AP is nice and all but most of us feel it is not worth the pain.

Some real incentives like Cosmetic rewards, free tri-pots and rare sieges, unique pets or something like a token of appreciation for testing like some other games offer during live testing events is sorely needed. Plus something rewarding the player for playing different classes by having unique drops per character would also be great as otherwise it is looking to be a stamblade fest.

Basically what I am trying to say is that making the test feeling more like an enjoyable, social community goal type event like other games do is the probably the best way to ensure that the masses show up for the testing. Otherwise, some of us are worried that this testing phase may cause irreparable harm to the already fragmented and fast depleting PvP community.

Transmutation stones would be a good incentive.

I absolutely agree. I knew that double ap wouldn't be enough the moment I read the announcement.

There’d probably be some console players complaining that PC players get a shiny new thing and we don’t since we’re not being subjected to the test, but this console player wholly agrees with your suggestion. Because oof, it’s going to be rough and double AP doesn’t seem like enough of a reward.

It doesn't matter what "incentive" they provide. I would LOVE to do PTS - but I don't have the data to do so. Therefore, it's not an option for me, unless they'd like to provide me a T1 for access.... /s

Incentive? They want the game to work but, instead of helping, they leave the area or game? LOL!!!

It's simply too big of a map for the server to run it without lag and with no reason to. Riding 10 minutes to hit a wall or die in 4 hits is not a fun game at all.

The problem is that a lot of classes will be more or less unplayable due to how many skills have AoE components to them. And that won't change during testing. I have guildies who are rolling new chars for the tests as their main ones won't really work there, especially during the first test, 3 s cd on all aoe skills combined.

I was initially going to participate in the tests, but then I changed my mind. I can use that time to get buff. Exercise is definitely better than playing a game that tips the scales too often. At lest the scale can only go one direction or is predictable when exercising ;)

It really isn't the players' responsibility to make the game work. If they feel that they aren't going to enjoy participating in the testing it is perfectly valid to not participate.

Think about it this way, I come home from after 10 hours of work. I run a game to blow off some steam only to find 90% of my characters don't work and the devs want me to do a month of unpaid testing for them. Yeah, **** that. Not my fault that the game doesn't work when I bought the game and have been paying for ESO plus for years.
