Resource Recovery Change

Yes another idea. I know, I've had a few. But honestly this one would be more for people who desire diversity in the game. I've gone through many MMOs and the one thing I see as constant are gamers looking for diversity and unique builds. This game, while it gives you the option to do some unique builds...leaves you sectioned off in your own world doing overland content. God for bid you try to bring your unique build into a vet dungeon or trial, you will be laughed out.

A simple change, yet one that can be expanded on. How about we change the way resource regeneration works. Instead of it being based of your weapon type, why not just make it based of which stat you have the highest amount invested. This way if you'd like to be a magicka wielding sword and shield battle mage, or maybe a stamina staff wielding warrior you could still do it and possibly be viable by combining with some of the sets that are now available. I realize this is far fetched, but honestly I'm getting super bored with Elder Staves Online.

Generally agree with the intention, but you made the topic sound a bit more confusing than it is.

When people hear "resource regeneration", they think about recovery and not resource restore on heavy attacks, which is what you are talking about.

I'd certainly like to see a melee magicka weapon added, especially if it can use the aesthetic of a stamina setup (Spellsword, Battlemage, Spellbow etc). There might be some clarity issues in PvP, but then again whether your opponent is stamina or magicka is often made clear by the skills they are using more so than the weapon choice.

If heavy attacks regardless of weapon type would always restore your highest maximum resource, it would also resurrect Dualwield Swords for magicka setups and make sword+shield viable as a defensive option for magicka based characters. Actually while we are on the topic, why do we even need ice staves for tanking if we can make sword+shield resource agnostic instead (only for the purpose of blocking, not the skills)?
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I miss when dual wield mag sorcs were a thing.

It was still possible until they nerfed Arch-mage for some odd reason even though it was one of the few sets that actually needed a buff...
