Hello guys. Hope y'all have a great day. With the latest announcement about next gen consoles it is clear that we can play this game on new consoles without losing everything (save files, charactes etc). So about online servers. Lets say someone still playing this game in 2021 on xbox one, will be able to play with people who own the new xbox console? And something else, if someone decides to change console from xbox one to PS5, i guess he has to start all over from the beggining right? Thanks in advance!!

ESO on this gen or next console is going to be the same thing really, same client (perhaps some optimisation specific to hardware) and connecting to the same server.
Unless ZOS introduces cross play, like a world server we upload our characters to, no Xbox, no PC, no PS4 will ever share data outside their own network.1
