It's amazing how someone that has been playing ESO for like 2 weeks has a better understanding of the game & it's mechanics than people that have been making "REMOVE ANIMATION CANCELLING" posts for the past 5 years.
Weaving is animation cancelling, but animation cancelling is not weaving. Weaving is a specific form of animation cancelling, just like bash or block cancelling. We just decided to call it "weaving", probably because it felt nicer to say than "skill cancelling".

Animation cancelling is when you use a skill right after a light attack to cancel the rest of that la's animation(this is built in the in-game engine). So no, even if they remove animation cancelling, weaving will still be a thing, as long as la and skills are on different gcds. Animation cancelling and weaving are completely different things and not at all related.

You literally cancel the light attack's animation by casting a skill. There is no difference. All light attack weaving is animation cancelling. All animation cancelling is not just light attack weaving. Now remove both. /end.
