    Bard
I’d be down for either Bard or Monk. Both have lore precedence and options. although I think Bard has the most options for DPS and Healing.

With DnD terminology, Stambards could be similar to the College of Valor, whereas Magbards could be more akin to the College of Lore. And, of course, Healer bards could truly shine as a support role. The least fitting role would be tank, but given the existence of sorc tanks, I’m sure the devs could come up with something interesting.

Monks would also be cool given the prevalence of Martial Arts among the Khajiiti in particular, although Elsweyr having already been completed makes this class less likely. It would still be interesting, however, and I’m sure magicka would focus more on some form of ‘chi energy’ while stamina would focus more on fist attacks. Unarmed was previously a skill in TES, so it would be neat to see its return. There is also a bit of lore on Dunmeri martial arts, but iirc they based it off a Khajiiti discipline.
    With cold regards,
    Mythic

    Favorite Characters:
Kilith Telvayn, Dunmer Telvanni Sorcerer (main)
    Kilith, Dunmer Magblade (old main)
Vadusa Venim, Dunmer crafter (older main)
    Hir Hlaalu, Dunmer Warden
    Søren Icehelm, N'wah Warden
    Fargoth of Morrowind, Bosmer commoner

    Bard
I'd love to see a bard in ESO. Many possibilities for cc, tanking, support, and healing. Also aoe dps. My main concern is what the animations would look like (we usually get flashy beams etc), though zos has many talented artists so I'm sure they can work something out.

Spellsword needs to be a weapon line (1h+rune), not class.

I've just never been able to get into Monk. Yeah, I played Pandaria in WoW - but I absolutely could NOT do Monk. Eww.

Well the graybeards and dragonborn can literally talk you to death...so yeah

Comparing apples to oranges here, hon.
Yes they're both sound, but one's literally just someone singing non-magical songs like we all do in real life and the other is a heavily specialized group of people that spend decades of their lives to be able to pronounce, understand and comprehend a non-native language for use in meditation while the dragonborn is a divinely gifted person that can do that nearly effortlessly.

Besides,Bards in TES are more akin to Charismatic Rogues with an emphasis on magic tricks and social charm

DnD style bards wouldnt work in lore unfortunatly

This would be a good option.

I'd say we're missing the Barbarian "me smash" physical power fantasy and a "Sword and Spell" magicka melee skill line.

This game does not need any other classes. It needs to expand upon what classes/weapons we already have.

I'd argue even getting a 4th skill line for each class is more needed over a new class.

Spellcrafting, new weapons, more skills for our current skill lines.

A 4th Skillline would be great! I would love that over a 4th class..unfortunatly, You cannot Paywall that too well. without too much uproar. Too much being the word. there will be Uproar regardless
It will likely be a new class if any.

The only one of the listed classes I would be interested in is Bard. I don't think that has a snowball's chance in hell of happening.

Well seeing how hard in tes lore is not like bards in other universes it would be a poor class choice, skill line maybe but not class. Same with monk. Honestly we dont need classes, just skill trees fir all classes, let my nb use hand to hand it my templar become a spellword.

right now, you have almost all type of damage - holy, daedric, elemental, poison, diseas...

What is not present in bigger scale, is transforming.... so next will be something like a druid, who can transform itself into various forms of animals, next skill line with buffs with hircine-like properties, last with debuffs.

Bards in The Elder Scrolls are not like say Everquest Bards or DnD Bards, certainly.

Monks are however very much a thing in TES, it was only with Skyrim they got rid of them (and by far the best single addon for Skyrim is the Monk one). I played a monk in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim (after installing all the monk mods).

You might be right that a H2H skill line might be the better option for ESO though (it certainly would be for spellsword IMO)

What ESO generally lacks is a more of dedicated identity classes. I've always found that execpt sorcs there is no real class that does that completly. Sure all to some extent. But evety class has so many options that hard core identity is always muddled as a result. A cool way for a bard setup would be to align the class lines to the 3 Ressources. And have:

    Buff/debuff spells
One for Attributes. One for maybe damage.
    Single target and AoE
    Some Dot.
    And

    Maybe a class Courage spell.
Or a passive that improves damage based on how many allies get hit. Bigger audience, you know.
I think it would be awesome!
Especially if you consider how tanking and healing becomes more and more unimportant and everything is just dps anymore.
    Oooh. And Roleplay!

I went with Other because I would like to see class changes (Make a requirement that you need a character at 50 for the class you're swapping to) and/or dual specs. I am running a tank for the first time, and I am surprisingly in love with tanking, not so much trying to do damage while NOT tanking.

Yes, yes. Skill points, swap out skills. I know this is an option, however, new characters do not have skill points to easily spread around as I am finding with a tank leveled primarily through dungeons.....
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

Next new class is battlemage, just saying

Kinda feels like they missed that mark with summerset given all the cloudrest gryphon riders were battle mages. Making it seem like a more common thing in that region kinda like feels like they missed the bard class or skill line with the "Bards college" in solitude instead just making a painful treasure hunt... zos seems to be on a lazy or bad decision roll this year

Healers are essentially bards nowadays without being a specific “class”. It seems most likely, but i think it would benefit more as a skill line so every class can utilise it.. rather than make every other class unplayable as a healer because the bard would be preferred.
