Which have the already well farmed Pyandonian motif that almost no one needs anymore. Thanks ZOS!

And that Radiant Apex Mounts have a drop rate of around .075% or 1 in every 134 crates. Buying that many crates would require $325.00 in the crown store! Good luck everyone.

Thanks for the reminder! No really, I'm ridiculously excited to have a chance to get my favorite mount in the game... All for the low low price of 100 gems... I missed the black senche lion the first time around, not going to this time even if the thought of all those crown crates makes me cringe....

Welp, as an update, I got 1200 gems, and 0 mounts. Bought 2 of the Psijic ones and am swearing off crates till next time.

Remember kids, it might not be flat out a scam, but these crates are NOT designed for 99.9999999% of people to get a good mount.

Another reminder that all crates need to drop... forever.... its time to start releasing good content for direct purchase instead of locking everything away behind a greedy game of chance.

Agreed. The equivalent crowns to a radiant apex mount would probably be in the 20k or 30k crown range. Imagine spending that on crates and getting one of the three that you don't want, or not getting one at all.

Stop buying them then, in case you do buy them of course. I realize what people do with their money is none of my business, but to feed this scam and then complain that the odds are stacked in favour of the house is... weird, to say the least. This is really not that complicated. ZOS could outright sell these "optional cosmetics" (to be read in Jim Sterling sarcastic voice), or they could sell you a "chance to win". Hint: they choose whichever nets then the greatest profits, not the one that most benefits the player.

Hm. I don't have a right to tell you what to do with your money as long as it doesn't hurt others. Which in this case, it does, but let's ignore that for now.
I would... advise you to not spend so much money on digital vanity items. Even if you have an abundance of money, it's still better spent on real things. Like, taking the girl out for dinner. The kids to an amusement park. Throw a party for friends. Or even save it for worse days. The emotions and memories you create by spending your money that way are priceless. And they will last you the rest of your life.

I haven't spent real money on crowns in years. You guys realize you can trade gold for them right?

Better odds would be giving most people better value for their money. I don't mind the idea of a random or even gambling type system, as long as didn't require extrodinary RNG to come out with something nice.

If you haven't spent real money, you have spent time (which you used to get the gold). That's time you could spend with your family or friends.

Yes I spent time but less than a player trying to get 1 rare mount in WoW and less than trial players trying to get a hard title in ESO

All of your smarty-pants pointing out you've not spent any money on crates... You do realise SOMEONE paid for them, right? And that by buying them for gold you're giving crown sellers cause to spend money on said crates, i.e. you're contributing to the scam just as much as if you spent the money yourselves?

One week of farming for 3 radiants apex is better than 1 year for 1 legendary mount in WoW or many weeks for VCR mount in ESO

On PS4 Eu if you are good you can make 20 000 000 gold in one week (600 crown crates) that's why PC is not the Master race for eso + the camera for vX vs Zergs

Well I was going to be playing the game anyway just for fun so all that gold was just a bonus. I didn't want anything from the Psijic crates anyway so all that much more gold for next time. I already have all the homes that can be bought with gold. If they ever allow gifting of homes I'll have to up my trading a bit.
I did want the bat fountain or whatever that was in the last group of crates but that was easy to get with gems.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Yes, it makes sense if you don't spend gold on other stuff. As long as you don't get consumed by the need to grind gold and let your real life slip away. Excess is the "villain" here.

Joined ESO at end of january and these are the first crates with stuff I like. Bought one set of 15 to get gems for the black lion mount and one of the costumes. Got phantom ice wolf, skyfire guar and dwarven spider mounts out of them (+ other higher ranking stuff). Makes me wonder if there is algorithm in place knowing I haven't bought crates before which rolled the numbers up for me to sucker me into buying more, or if it's just pure RNG / luck at play. Kinda feeling bad for all those people buying mountains of crates to get radiant and coming out of it empty handed. If it's ZOS trying to make me buy crates, then they're out of luck, though - don't like (un)dead stuff and nord and / or argonian themed stuff are meh to me, which is what we're getting next apparently.
