Extend the glowy to treasure maps

When antiquities came out, I didn't see a real purpose for putting points into making treasure chests glow, but I tried it and its kind of cool.

I'm on console and would like to make treasure map locations glow when you get close. On console we don't have addons that help you find the map location, so I'd like to invest a few points to make finding that little piece of dirt a little less annoying. So can we have a quality of life mechanic and have something similar for treasure maps? Please!

    That's a great idea.

I pretty much know where all the treasure maps are by now, but there are some where the mounds camouflage really well, and a glow would be really helpful.

With the way antiquities work, it would be cool if they could tie the treasure maps into that system as well. So that you could find the area on the map where the chest is and some sort of mechanic to lead to it one in the area.

It isn't that they are necessarily hard to find either. I have a ton of the locations memorized. But for the ones that aren't memorized or are difficult to make out from the image, this would be a great addition.

They already have a separate passive to make the antiquity "dig sites" glow. Adding treasure map dig sites to this passive should be a piece of cake* (*I am not a programmer but I would assume one dig site should behave similar to the other).

Yeah, the dig site glow would be cool, but I was also thinking more along the lines of adding the blue area box on the world map like with antiquities. That way I can see on the map where I need to go rather than needing a third party website to track these down.

I like this idea too ... and I'm not a console peasant.

That would be cool. My artistic ability is so pathetic that sometimes after I've found the chest, I still can't figure out how the picture was supposed to lead me there.

It's probably not your artistic ability that's the problem. :D

    ^this.

Before antiquities come, I was always asking myself why we don't have a perk in legerdemain to make chest and HS more visible.
They put chest, but not treasure and not HS when antiquities come :(

    +1

The passive for treasure chest in nice. Would be awesome if it worked on treasure map locations also.

Since you only really need one character to do antiquities it would be nice if the passive would be account based and not character based.

Also +1 for the Heavy sack idea.

Be safe and have fun :)
