Should there be more random encounters in PVE?

So I've seen some small random encounters. Daedra come down in a spot in a few short waves. Bandits or whatever holding a hostage. So would you like more random encounters? Perhaps even more detailed and varied random encounters?

    I'd like it if they were actually a challenge.

    I am not forced to do them, so I would like to feel a risk if I choose to engage.

    Right now I can light attack every one of them to victory... or I can just sit and watch it end itself.

    Hmm this is a good point. Perhaps there could be more of a risk added to random encounters.

    Yeah actually, that sounds like a pretty neat idea.

    We already have what, daedra and vampires popping out of the sky in a misty beam? Even those, I don't run into every play session. Maybe two a week.

    What else could be implemented? Werewolves jumping off high cliffs down to you out of nowhere? This has been mentioned before; but what about different mineral atronochs materializing out of mined nodes? I'm not sure, just shooting ideas randomly here.

    They add new ones with every expansion to the new zones, but with Greymoor they included vampire/werewolf hunters! But yes I agree we need way more new encounters added to the older zones.

    as long as it's optional and not a forced combat situation because having to kill npcs every 2 seconds while trying to go from point A to B is bad enough without adding more. Maybe more little side quests.

    They are fun to encounter, but maybe they stopped making them because people didn't care?
    One of the problems with overland is that once people have seen everything, they just want to go from A to B or node to node. Everything else is a time waster compared to their agenda. Like all those people farming dolmens or an event. They aren't going to stop for some idiot conjurer who pulls more daedra than he can handle.

    They'd get more attention / reusability if they were tied to some mechanic, such as a reputation meter with certain factions, or ticking down your bounty because you helped innocent people.

    I still haven’t ticked all of the zone random encounter achievements (ie. Wrothgar elder warriors - or having trouble even after Murkmire event finding all of the NPCs in need) - but the more cool interludes, the better, IMHO.
