Spirit guardian vs. “take 10% less damage” math

How does the “10% of the damage you take is transferred to the spirit guardian” compare to effects that say “you take 10% less damage”? Intuitively, they should be the same, but I know the math behind damage calculations is not always intuitive. Do they go into the same spot in the equation or are they different effects?

Luckylancer✭✭✭✭✭Percentage reduction must be multiply in every game. If they are addative there will be 2 issues:
1. You can overshoot 100% reduction
2. 0 to 50% is same with 98% to %99 so stacking reductions become brokenly powerfull
So I think it applies after after other damage reductions and ghost take the 10% of final damage reduced from all other reduction sources.1
