Maintenance for the week of January 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – January 6
• NA megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – January 8, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 13:00 UTC (8:00AM EST)

So no tickets for European EU players today?

Unless you were lucky enough to have the opportunity to log on and do a daily before maintenance, which wouldn't have been many who could do that, European EU players will not be able to get tickets today as it is nearing midnight or past, depending on timezone and most of us will need to go to bed and won't be able to do anything before reset tomorrow. Thank you ZOS, gotta love how you treat your most populated server with attention and care as always.

[Snip] We had this happen during MYM too, and they handled it perfectly by adding a day to the event..

Or maybe, maaaaaaaybe, they finally should do something with it? Why it's always EU losing a day of event and ESO+? Last maintenance also had problems, maintenance before, and before.. They should start FIXING these problems, not ignore them.

Do what? Not learning from all the other times that the EXACT SAME THING happened?

Good for them for adding an extra event day, but this is just unacceptable.

Ermm ... it didn't 'just' happen during MYM, it's happened before then, and before, and before, and before.... and there have been times where we ended up not having an event at all and no news/information or anything....

They've had YEARS by now to practice 'what has to be done' in cases like these, plenty of possible times to find solutions.

Besides the event tickets, many will now also have an issue with the daily login rewards, one of those other things the 'team' is playing deaf for - time after time after time...

It would be a common courtesy for them to finally address these types of things, or make other adjustments. As you might be able to read in several other posts going on right now, people are kind of not so happy with this umpteenth time things are going ... well, let's say it nicely 'not according to plan without a plan B, apparently'...

Lol yeah, as you so aptly pointed out this is not the first time it's happened. In fact in the year and two months I've been playing this has happened more times than I can count. After this many times they should have a plan for how to not have this happened every other maintenance, or just forgo maintenance during events if they can't come up with a working plan.

And no, they didn't, "handle it perfectly," then. They handled it adequately in the aftermath by extending the event. Perfectly would have meant actually getting the server to work.

I know it has happened lots of times, but I referred to MYM since it was the latest happening, where people were also afraid of losing a day of tickets

And as I have said numerous times, I firmly believe that they are doing all that they can to fix the problems when they can.. Anything else would not make sense.. As to why they have so much trouble, I have no idea.. I do not work with them, and neither do I work with this kind of stuff or anything near it..

A point that I can agree on, is that more communication would be nice though, so people can feel updated

Observations and experience indicates otherwise. Or if they're doing anything they're exceptionally inept at it and I've been playing MMOs since the late 90s [Snip]

During MYM, the maintenance took near a day.. So they added another day to the timer.. What did we lose then?

Day of login? Day of ESO+? Event is not everything, you know?

I looked thru my posts, I started "complaining" about EU servers in "October 2019", we were promised a better servers and better technical side, and we have July 2020 now.. Guess what? Nothing changed. I love this game, but company is another level [Snip]

Alright, but the ability to gain those tickets would still depend on being able to play on the extra day rather than on the day the server was down.

Well, then you might as well have lost a day to being sick.. They can't fix everything

So tried to log on this morning 30 minutes before reset to see if I could quickly claim the daily reward and get tickets but between 10-15 minutes on requesting character selection and then 10+ minutes on inital loading screen having to kill the game via taskmaster because I was out of time the problems persist in spite of low population and the queue having been removed.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please pass on that this issue has not been resolved on PC/EU and needs looking into. I don't expect an extension of the event as that would have been announced by now, but on behalf of half my guildies it wiuld be nice if we could log on to play.

    Ah yes, "Conspiracy theory", lol.

That worn-out silencing technique doesn't work, anymore, in case you hadn't noticed.

Especially in the case of something like this.

Either they have solved the ongoing and recurring issues, or they haven't.

They have had more than enough time.

Managed to do an delve and get 3 tickets just before the server shut down, was able to get in this morning just before reset and did some extra quests to have spare quests for later.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

So screw all the EU players who couldn't and still can't log on in spite of following their "brilliant" advice of restarting? Which for the record achieves absolutely nothing for at least half the people with issues.

I'd rather it just NOT happen to be fair.

I've now lost 2 days of the daily rewards too, 1 though the bug that takes a day off you (exactly the same as last month) and one from the 14 hours downtime yesterday.

    Always the EU server.

Well, to be true, I was a bit miffed yesterday because I had had the chance to do my daily before maintenance started, but didn't. My fault.
Anyway, I remembered what I had done in similar situations. So I got up a little earlier today, logged in about 1 hour before ticket reset / work shift start, did a daily and received my tickets. Provided I can log in later on and do today's daily, I didn't lose any tickets. :#
