How much for better servers?

Dear Zos,

How much more money would you like eso+ members to pay each month, for better servers?

I would be willing to pay 10-15% more to get the juicy MYM servers. Would that be a great in incentive to use better hardware?
We can handle the truth.

Thanks!

Ya. I don't think there are many of those left.

They charge us 3000 Crowns for getting us to a freakin' game menu. Spend that money on good servers instead of bonifications for investors.

literally several million dollars. Why would they upgrade when people will pay for sub without them upgrading?

The main Cyrodil campaigns are the only ones who need beefing up, perhaps some of the background systems like dungeon and BG finder, why are they integrated anyway.
Rest is no big problem just add more servers.

Now, its an synergy then a slow pc with graphic set up in overland with maximum get into an pop locked campaign in Cyrodil and also have high ping.
Its not just an hardware issue either, many with high end rigs has problems so part is software.
My 6 year old rig works very well granted it was an monster then I got it and got an new graphic card 3 years ago.

On the other hand you have some ***.

Note that well specked it will set you back $100k easy.
It will also be a bit overkill, you could probably handle 2000 players in an campaign its just 10 on each core but with the clients graphic handle that?
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I doubt the issue is simply investment in server capacity. Rather, it's in software that doesn't scale out at all linearly.
    • If you have 10X the capacity and have 10X the throughput, that's linear scalability.
    • True linear scalability never happens.
    • But if 10X the capacity gets you 8X or 9X the throughput, that's plenty good enough in most cases, including this one.
    • However, if it only gets you 2X the throughput, you have a major problem.

I suspect that these long maintenances have a lot to do with improving scalability.

I think the servers have been fine.

Got my drinks and salad with nice warm rolls right away. 5 minutes after they retrieved those dishes, entree and more drinks and rolls.

All in all a very good meal with very nice servers

Now that you mention it, I've had no noticeable lag issues in...well, almost never.

I'd prefer them to center on eliminating useless loading screens and fixing those damn freezes once and for all.

Good point. I will again purchase a plus membership, and will pay more than $15/month for it, IF, that's IF performance issues are addressed. (most of us are convinced the primary performance issue is ZOS isn't paying for enough or the right hardware to support their software) I'd pay and pay more if things worked as advertised.

These servers are okay, but I always get fur in my food and they don't like it when I pull their tail.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.
