Cosmetic Ideas

Might it be possible to...

1-Add customizable color shader to character ability effects?
Could have red lightning, or pink fire

2-Weapon placement
It would be awesome if we could choose where we holster our weapons, I doubt everyone wants their swords/daggers/axes floating on their sides/backs.
Could have swords crossed on the back, or one on your back with the other on your side, both on your back but horizontal on your lower back instead of vertical, you get it.
Could even put a dagger down on your boot, that would be awesome.

3-Weapon holsters
To start a simple strap would do, but being able to make these with designs for every different motif/ material would be awesome

What's everybody think?

I think these weapon placements would all be a neat Addition to the game. But, would they have to change up/add more of the unsheathe animation depending on where weapon locations are? Im not sure.

Character ability effects, maybe not for specific spells, but it’d be awesome if we could change the color of the lighting in our homes.
~There’s a positive in every negative. Sometimes the positive is harder to find than other times, but there is ALWAYS one there~

I'm all for character customisation - the more the merrier if it makes people feel more connected to their in-game personae, so on the whole, I'm all in favour of your idea.

However, the current weapon placement is TERRIBLE, particularly if you play a small/female character. My poor Bosmer, for example, can only use a small number of the bow styles because most of them embed themselves extremely uncomfortably into her skull when she moves.

So, I'm all in favour of more options but I'd really like them to fix the ones we have as well. Sadly, I can't see this happening any time soon.

I do like your ideas though. :)

Thank you. Sad, but true, I don't see them working on anything like this ever lol.
I'm pretty sure they haven't done anything with the weapon placement since launch. I remember complaining about this back in beta haha
I feel your pain, or rather my crafter does. Whenever I'm at a crafting station his destro staff merges with his back and they become one for a short period of time lol.
I know it's not a big deal, but why leave it like that in a game like this, with the type of reputation ElderScrolls has for being so detailed, I'm surprised.
Maybe I expect too much lol

It's a cool idea but I think it might be difficult to implement now unless they went back to the drawing board with how it works. It would be good to see happen but I think it has to be in the list with other cosmetic fixes while the important stuff gets done first. I'd definitely like it though.

One thing I would love is the staff placement when sheathed removed completely. I can just about understand a huge axe being strapped to your back but a huge stick glued to your spine is just wrong. A staff wielding character should be holding their staff, leaning on it and maybe putting it away only when performing emotes?

A mage personality is so needed in this game, and the Telvanni wizard just doesn't cut it.

I think they might never do point one because of class recognition. I think most mmos distinguish classes by colors.

Ohh, true I think they do. However, we all know that doing something just because someone else is doing it is not the way to go about anything. It might be time to break that mold and give that option to the player.
I have 3 characters that are just for fun, one is a stam/mag build. He sucks lol but is fun. I would like to change the colors of his abilities to better match the bio/story I made up for him.
Isn't it a little weird, In a game where there is so much customization, there is still so little at the same time.
