Should I use my race change?

Hello! I am a somewhat new player and I currently am sitting on a race change that I got from something. I don't remember, but I've been considering using it on my main DPS, a wood elf that I originally made as a stamina nightblade, but has transitioned to Magicka nightblade. I wanted someone else's opinions on whether or not I should use my race change to make them a High Elf. I know that a Breton has better sustain, but I really like playing as an elf. I currently really enjoy that my wood elf can take more fall damage as I fall off things, a lot and that I currently have immunity to poisoning. I also would like to change how they look because it was my first character I made and now I don't like how she looks. The race change would allow me to change that and have better Magicka powers and damage. Is it worth it to use the race change on my wood elf to become a high elf?

If would say yes if you want to optimise your build. It's not something that's super necessary, sets and skill level is more important, but it helps.

Another solid option is dark elf since you're a nb. They work equally well for stam and mag as having extra mag for a stam nb or vice versa is often useful. And it allows you to switch back and forth between mag and stam.

Khajiit is similar, but not elves :)

My Bosmer magplar, magsorc, magward, stamsorc and stamward all say go for looks. I mean, what good is it being an adventuress if you can't look good doing it? Everyone knows Bosmer are BiS for cute. :)

Seriously, if you wanna be an elf, be an elf. Even a tall or green one if that's what you want.

My main character is a wood elf Stamden. I've always played a Wood Elf (and prefer it), but I can tell you I have a harder time surviving on her. Made another character, a Templar Wood elf, liked it...but didn't do well with the lack of magicka. 3rd character, I decided to try a High Elf Templar because of the higher magicka stats, and she has frankly worked out wonderfully! However, I'm a Wood Elf at heart and being a High Elf bothers me, silly as that is.

In real life I'm Wood Elf size. I hate that my High Elf TOWERS over everyone! Its hard for me to get used to. Also, keep in mind that the only race that has normal proportions is the Wood Elf. Making my High Elf's appearance to what I wanted was quite hard with the way the sliders limit you. (Her face is too narrow , for instance) On the plus side, her magicka is almost non-ending and her fighting abilities are light years away from any Wood Elf I've ever made, so I will keep her.

Make another character and try another race out. See how you like it, rather then changing your main. You might be surprised. Try out the different classes as well! It was fun AND informing.

Thanks so much for these responses. My response to each of you is:
I do have a dark elf nb, but I've been using that one for stam because dual wield is rad af.
I love being that tall High Elf. I even have a High Elf mag sorc because I wanted extra magicka and stuff. I really like that one, so because of that I was considering changing my main.
Keep the good information coming! I love being more informed on this game!

If you want to look like a tiny woodelf but play a magicka character you can make a breton look like an elf, just turn the ear slider all the way to pointy, the eye slant like 25%, and cheek bone size and height to max. The look is very similar to a wood elf, and a short breton is the same height as an average wood elf.
Plus it actually fits lore wise since bretons are "rumored" to have elven blood.
