Impossible to excavate mythic parts being level 7?

Im level 7 excavation and trying to excavate malacath's parts and I always run out of time. Should I level until 10 for the passive?

It's totally doable at L7 Excavation. You just need to think things through.PC NA, PC EU

I have tons of zones with the green ones pending but I try to excavate the mythic parts being level 7 and its impossible. I would need some more time.
You mean there is a process to get mythic parts being level 7?0 -
blendertoes✭✭✭I have been doing gold and mythic items since level 7 and I'm only at 8 now. I think the key is using a plan to quickly find the item and then efficiently generating intuition and using the heavy shovel. I always start looking near the upper left corner and then pick spots based on where the overlay says the item could be. Before using the heavy shovel, use the brush to make all 9 squares covered by the heavy shovel level to maximize the amount of dirt removed. Definitely not impossible, just takes a bit of practice.2 -

Are you using the wide shovel at all? My guildie who has trouble doesn't use that one for some reason, and it's the most helpful tool for me.
It might help for you to look at a guide, as I don't remember having issues digging up yellow leads once I got used to the layout.The Moot Councillor2 -

✭1. Use proximity tool near corners, follow the over lapping possible location zones until you find where the item is.
2. Use the brush 4x on and around the item, trying to get most of a 3x3 area (that doesn't include fissures) to the same, contiguous dirt level.
3. Use the large shovel on the contiguous dirt area.
4. Use the brush 4x again to again, get most of the same 3x3 area to the same, contiguous dirt level.
5. Repeat 3-4 until part of the item is uncovered. *Be sure not to "over-dig" and damage item. This may require charging the large shovel with only 2 brush usages toward the bottom of the dirt.
6. Repeat 2-5 on surrounding area to uncover the rest of the item.
7. Repeat 2-5 elsewhere with extra time to find bonus items.
The above worked about 95% of the time for me at level 7 for mythics. Also, if you didn't know already, there is not a literal time limit. Rather, there is a turn limit, so there is no reason to go fast.“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”2 -
santhoranb16_ESO✭✭✭Its very possible to dig up all gold at level 7 which you can scry (some you can only scry with lvl10).
Just locate the antiquity right and the use the wide shovel to clear up the 3x3 area.
To help locate it, always remember the anitquity doesnt lies below a fissure, so you can safely which spots are impossible and imagine where /how it will be placed.Edited by santhoranb16_ESO on July 24, 2020 5:14PM2
