I agree with you wholeheartedly.reagen_lionel wrote: »Enchanting armor with the same 3 enchants just makes you get over charged and forces you to even it out, which kind of goes against the want to enchant when you want to focus on a certain thing or playstyle.
The type of glyph depends on what Potency (square) and Essence (triangle) runes you use.
To have a glyph that you can put on an armor try using the Jora potency rune and either the Deni, Makko or Ono Essence runes: those should give you a basic glyph of Stamina/Magicka/Health to put on your armor.

it just seems off. In the other elder scrolls games, jewelry and armor shared most enchants, where only certain enchants were specific to jewelry.
I think there should be another potency rune that will put some enchants that would usually be jewelry to go into armor, while certain other ones will still remain jewelry. Things like fire resists, poison resist, and enchants for armor that give thinks like magicka regen but negative magicka value (so it wont be a regen stacked thing)

It depends on the piece of armor you are trying to enchant. I don't know the math, but you would get the full amount on the chest piece and only a certain percentage of that on a smaller piece such as a helmet or a belt.cypherzedd wrote: »Does anyone know why a glyph wouldn't take full effect on a piece of armor? Pieces like belt, hands, boots all give a decreased effect because they are considered one of the smaller pieces, so you get smaller benefits.cypherzedd wrote: »Does anyone know why a glyph wouldn't take full effect on a piece of armor?
