Can we at least have thrassian's stay persistent? Everytime you give us somthing nice you take it away. It's like "Wait, their enjoying that new content? Well we better nerf that [snip]".

ZOS [snip] guess what not everyone is good at you're game. And if they arent then they should move on, not cry and have you nerf or destroy every little bit of content that they cant handle. And also shame on you for encouraging it through the radical and constant changes that have made 98% of you're game a walk in the park. Other than a few vet trials and dungeons also VMA, you're game has almost no challenging content.

PLEASE LEAVE THE ANTIQUTIES ALONE, ALL OF THEM.

    I just got Stranglers yesterday.
    Nerfed today, lmao

I went fishing for it at the height of the madness when it first was available. First cast - got the lead!
To be fair, I've never used it and probably never will - lol

Yeah this is an outrageously ridiculous change, it renders a mythic item totally pointless for 95% of content in the game.

@ZOS_GinaBruno why such a heavy handed attack

So, with all the doom and gloom.. Would it still be viable for MSA?

Were people complaining that it was too good?

On the PTS before it even released it was complained about, but they released it, only for the ignored feedback to be proven right about the set: it's grossly op on live, doesn't have any real drawbacks, and it makes the game unbalanced on every level wherever you use it.

For Stragglers, the debuff doesn't even make sense "heal and shield reduction" -- no one cares. In the rest of the game, to get massive power you have to choose between sustain and damage. It's always when you don't have to make the decision between sustain and damage that the game's balance gets thrown out the window (see: proc sets doing too much damage, blood for blood, new moon acolyte, etc.).

It's not that it's good, but it is that there is a problem when a 1-piece set has the potential to offer more offensive benefit than some entire builds. It's also a problem when it magnifies imbalances in relative power between players and classes to the extreme.

Removing the stacks being "permanent" would have been well enough, i.e. that they don't just remain for 30 seconds - but stay there until you die, sneak, travel to other area or whatever. Reducing the damage is a bit too much.

But this is a TYPICAL example. ZOS always overdo things, first off in actually ever CREATING this item, then realizing it was completely silly; and instead of just like making the stacks disappear after 30 seconds - they decrease the damage from 150 to 92, AND make the stacks remain for just 30 seconds. I mean... What's that medical label again, for people who always act this way? It's actually considered a "mental function variation", or whatever it's called today - to never be able of predicting the results of your actions.

But in honesty: The players are still not much better: "IT GOT NÖRFFED TO THE GROUNDD! I'M QUITTING THE GAME!!!!", yeah. But what other set ever gave you +1800 Spell (and now Weapon) damage like that? Everyone ****** their pants and went to Cyrodiil for months for Spell Strategist, paid +1M for a Flame Staff, and about the same for gold jewelry - for 700 damage on a SINGLE target; now you get the same Spell damage for ALL targets for half a minute, for killing like what? 7 trash mobs?

I mean yeah, 1800 vs 3000 is a big difference, but there's still nothing that compares. You can't wear a monster set that compares to that either, and no other 5 piece set instead afaik.
I know you are disappointed and all, but this is how ZOS do it. All. The. Time. Without any exceptions whatsoever.

They need to stop this, and act like sober/sane people in the first place - if you couldn't predict this was a bad idea in the first place, you don't have a place in developing a game. It's just that simple. It's making us waste our time farming sets that will change anyway, and make people very disappointed every time. It's so easy to avoid, just use common sense.

You have to work a lot to get to +1800 spell damage. You need to land the killing blow to actually proc it. And to keep the stack or advance it you need to land a killing blow every 30 seconds.
Good luck with the set now. It is totally unusable in PVP now, and i doubt it is of any use in PVE too.

A killing blow every 30 seconds is totally doable for a rotation with an Execute ability - unless you're at boss fights. This one single Item has created a 60K - SIXTY THOUSAND dps gap between the "non-users". Like 130k DPS to 70k DPS.
It was glitched and abused almost the instant it came out.

People found a way to never loose the stacks and to not get the debuff also! So there was a flat +3000 spell power with no down-side to it. It really is no surprise, that it got nerfed.

I spent a total of 3 days fishing for leads for this item and now PTS is nerfing them by a lot. They are not great for any form of content now. I would not bother using mythics and if you do not have greymoor do not bother getting it. The mythic items was a baiting tactic.

All the changes are good except the 30 seconds. Their head is in the right place, but the time is simply too short. I think a 60 seconds would probably be a pretty good spot for this to land. It will really only be useful in a place like VMA where you are constantly killing. Anything content with a story (waiting on NPCs) will make this pretty useless.

@TineaCruris And what's the point of spreading out and looking for things when the items you're told you'll get are destroyed not even two months after? Your reply is irrelevant to the issue at hand. The developers are insulting players' hard work yet again with not a tuning, but a complete ravage of an item that they may have bought Greymoor for entirely. Sowing more seeds of distrust. "Mythic" items indeed...

You just aren't understanding the purpose of the antiquities system. Some cats just can't help but chase the shiny objects and don't notice what is going on in the rest of the room.
