Non combat pet should fight each other

Occasionally non-combat pets should just randomly attack other non-combat pets in kind of like when a player is IDLE around other players that are IDLE and have pets out that could be on a repeated animation while you are IDLE. Nothing to overly detailed, nothing like a PET BATTLE MINI GAME LIKE WOW...NOT THAT, just an added element FOR WHEN YOU ARE IDLE. I know this will probably NEVER happen lol, but I just got though thought in my head after seeing 1 million baby dragons from this free bundle.

Edited for those that can't seem to understand that this isn't a request for a WOW PET BATTLE MINI-GAME...

When I say non-combat pet fights...I meant as sort of an idle animation. So not sure where the comparison to other games comes in. I'm not suggesting an entirely new mini-game set up. I guess the trolls are in abundance this morning.

This isn't WOW, go play battle pets over on their servers....our pets are just fine the way they are (unless you're at a crafting station

I agree - non-combat pets should be ported to some pseudo-oblivion plane which is nowhere near any of my characters and be locked in perpetual combat.

Around craft areas, npcs and banks, remove the random and make it mandatory.

Wardens and their bears and sorcs with their pets are a given; the summoner gets to come back when the pet is dead/dismissed.

Siege stealers in cyrodiil should be sent there too.

Thank you for pointing the obvious that this isn't WoW. I would have never have guessed that. Again, re-read the post. I didn't say pet battles like WoW..I said the could fight while we are idle..like an idle animation. I know you can read, so the next step is to understand what you are reading. Try again...you can do it!

I mean it would be a cute quality of life cookie....but it would probably send to much data back to their servers and the game would catch fire like in cyrodiil.

This is quite true. I hadn't considered the ramifications to the server and how it would effect performance.

Wow I don't post on these forums very often but for the first responses to be "go play a different game" makes me think thats probably a good thing.

This idea will most likely never happen due to the recent efforts to improve game performance, but it was just a fun small idea. Just in case you didn't know, you have the option of NOT responding to a thread if you got nothing constructive to say.

People wonder why folks get a bad taste of games. It's when communities respond with the "Just go to another game" attitude. Now, it won't effect me, because I'll leave when I'm good and ready, but a lot of people would think that this community is toxic and take the advice.

In WoW pets can have mini pokemon like battles. In ESO i'm talking about a repeated idle animation.

Both my combat & non-combat pets tell me it is a horrible & cruel idea. They tell me that they thought pitting animals against each other was illegal in Tamriel.

They would hate to see Clucky & Plucky so traumatized by the experience that they stopped laying eggs. These are a treat the others look forward to immensely.

I can't say I would want them to actually "fight" (in the sense of one lying in a puddle of blood in the end), but some playful fighting the way some big dogs do, or other forms of interactions between them would be pretty awesome. I doubt it'll happen, but I definitely like the thought.

That would add more stress to server load hence it would be against the "ESO standards" we're hearing since one year ago aprox. so in reality, non combat pets will probably get nerfed too, and all will move and behave the same in order to fit "ESO standards".

I read understood your entire first comment. The people bringing up WoW are more than justified, based on your initial statements. If you want it to mean repeated idle animation you should probably say that. Your OP is open to other interpretation, particularly if strictly following what you wrote.

That would be a perfect way for me to never have a pet out again. The idles they have now are just fine, all that's needed. (And I too assumed you meant like WoW, but I didn't think it worth the effort to post....)

Personally I'd rather see people able to "spruce" up their pets so that we can see a little more flare around the world. Let me give my bears bowties! Or my cats that little tushy dangle thing that hides their butthole!

The server hamsters are screaming in terror just thinking about it, much like our sweet little pets would be when a dragon or senche or wolf jumped on them. Granted I would love our pets to have more idle animations, but maybe not fights.... especially to protect the server hamsters who are doing their very best.... it's still awful, but that isn't their fault, they are just hamsters....

Someone suggested on another post, that there be an option to not see others non-combat pets.

That would be nice, if do-able and might drop some of the server load. And get rid of the annoying little turds for those of us who dont want to see em.
