What is the math on minor enervation vs 1400 critical resistance?

transmutation 1400 = ~20% crit resist - need hot hot to activate but can be on back bar and also support allies.

New wizards riposte - Minor Enervation = 12% crit resist, 660 crit resist bonus = ~10% crit resist. Togather = 22% crit resist - Need to be active all the time for full effect. selfish set.

You also have Critical Riposte Set - Looks like a worst version of the New wizards riposte set.

Ok wait, minor enervation is not selfish though right? You are applying a crit damage reduction to enemies that hit you. Or do you mean selfish in that it cant be back barred.

The crit resistence benefit on trans depends on where you are at for base crit resistance, ie if you are at x amount of base crit resist. Is there a point where minor enervation actively reduces the crit damage you take moreso than the 1400 crit resist value from trans proc. assuming you reach 3300 with it up.

    Roughly speaking
3400 crit resist with trans up
    Vs
2660 + minor enervation on targets.

Again I dont mean know what is additive and multiplicative.

You actually right, wizards riposte is a debuff for everyone attacking you so it is not only selfish, got some group utility.
Regarding stack mechanism it is additive and adding crit resist or reducing crit damage is exactly the same.
